"They replaced the garage roof at my home.  It took forever to hear from them once we signed the contract.  The Roof itself looks great.  They kind of just showed up whenever the mood struck.  No specific times were ever given, even after they told us they were coming to do the roof.  The price was not what was agreed upon in the contract.  I called & asked if it was possible to have an approximate date (even within a week) when they were coming & they flat out said "No".  Most of the roofers did not speak English, so that was a problem.  They did not do a good job of cleaning up after themselves.  If I had not looked in the driveway after they left, I would have run over a nail!!  There were also other stray nails on the sidewalk & in the grass.  They did not do a very good job of cleaning up the whole area.  They were great until they got the contract signed... then not so great."

A truck or a really good friend to borrow theirs to pick it up? Plus time to allow it to achieve proper temperature to transfer your temp sensitive food! Well if you haven't experienced this type of event, in your life, you will! I began by doing some easy research online like searching for best Home Warranty providers. I put some inquiries out to prospective providers and as expected, the sales calls began to ring on my phone. They all have why "they" are the best provider - so take notes and compare policies. Ask whether they cover swimming pools, septic systems, roof repairs etc. So my phone rings with an out-of-state area code and it's Zach from Choice Home Warranty. While on the call, this enthusiastic salesman hit all the "trigger" items I was looking for; *Annual Service Price *Price per claim deductable *Response time You know, all the "need to know" info that helps you make an informative decision. I started paying $550/year 7 years ago in 2014 with my old service provider. The per claim fee was $65. Today in 2022, it's $710/year and $85/claim. Was it worth it you ask? If I figure the math, my total cost over 7 years and only 4 claims was $4,450 or $636/year. This cost paid to replace my pools salt cell and chlorine generator ($1,800 in parts alone), 2 separate Air Conditioner repairs which replaced the coil fan motor, a circuit board replacement, system coil cleansing, relays and a capacitor. (No idea of how much my total cost would have been. I paid $65 twice. Nice huh?) 1 roof repair that replaced the "Cricket", which is a 15' roof section elevational change just below the ridge line. It's important to remember that these repairs don't include "hidden costs" which are personnel and service labor rates. Something you will pay for without a Warranty Service. Here's the best part of the call from this AWESOME salesman. He offered me 6 year "fully transferable", rate locked for life" service policy that when divided out by 6 is LESS THAN WHAT I WAS PAYING ANNUALLY, 7 YEARS AGO!!! So, is a Home Warranty plan a safe bet??? I have a 9 word answer for those without a Choice Home Warranty service plan. YOU BET YOUR DRIPPING SWEATY BUTT CRACK IT IS!!! Props to Zach, YOU DA MAN!!! "Charlie submitted the lowest bid at $5250.Answered all my questions and also informed me that my old roof which was only 11 years old ,was manufactured by CertainTeed company and that  litigation was pending in calf. for faulty manufacturing  He gave me the 800 number to call to file a claim.
