"Took out some stairs that were falling apart and gave us a very nice, sturdy, new set. Orion was very professional from the start and got the work done in a flash. Worth every penny from the estimate through the project."

"Excellent work. Adrian is a good communicator and planned with me on my list of maintenance projects for my home and barn loft. Adrian is a planner and also has a wide range of expertise as a contractor. He was able to reinforce and strengthen structural needs with the trusses in the barn. He also coordinated subcontractors for electrical, spray foam insulation, plumbing, and cabinets for the remodel. He also took out old concrete and then poured new cement for the flooring in the bathroom. He removed damaged flooring and reinforced with a wood base. Adrian was a perfectionist when putting in the shiplap for the ceiling and building standard staircase and structure to support the new staircase with stained treads and painted risers."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The average cost to install a fence that is 200 feet in length is $4,600, but this largely depends on the type of fence you build. For instance, a 200-linear-foot redwood fence costs between $3,600 and $7,000.

If you only use your gate as a pedestrian, walking through without a vehicle, you’re fine to stick with a single fence gate. If your fence opening needs to accommodate vehicles of any kind, from cars to trucks to 4-wheelers, then a double fence gate will suit the space much better and give you more freedom.

You'll notice that many projects that add value to your home involve increasing curb appeal. Adding an aluminum fence improves the style of your yard and the safety levels for pools, pets, and backyard playtime. You can also choose aluminum fence designs with unique ornamental features or paint the fence to match your home's style.

If you hire a fence installer for the project, the time it takes to build a fence is about 20 to 30 hours. Tackling the project yourself will take around 40 to 50 hours. It can take longer if you need to obtain permits, level the ground, remove the old fence, or remove a tree.

There are different types of pet fencing available to keep your furry family member safe:

  • Chain link fencing is an affordable but not visually appealing option.

  • Vinyl panel fencing is less easily damaged than wood.

  • Wood fencing is customizable but requires regular maintenance.

  • Metal iron fencing provides a sleek look but doesn’t block your pet’s view.

  • Electric fencing eliminates the need for a traditional fence, but it could be painful to your pet.

  • Picket fencing adds to your curb appeal but won’t contain most pets.

  • Brick or stone fencing stops pets from digging out of the yard but costs more.
