Reshma Knupp (kʰnup) is an American and Fijian visual artist. Known for her work as Graphic designer, 3D animator and television commercial designer. Having extended knowledge on Indian and Fijian traditional art such as pottery making, masi making (traditional Fijian fabric production and design), wood carving, rope making with coconut husk, mandala design, henna design and murals. Reshma has been painting since her childhood but she began her career as a graphic designer after finishing college and later ventured out into studying commercial cookery, hair dressing and Bible collage in Australia. She believes if you put your mind to anything, you can adopt and learn other skills and knowledge in life. So never stop learning. She has worked on a 3D movie made by Modern Cartoons which is a California based company that travelled to Fiji to make a movie called (Elf Bowling, the great North Pole Elf strike). Then worked for a t.v commercial making company. Later worked as a promotions officer for a shoe company which owned a shoes factory and more than 10 shoe boutique shops in Fiji, Australia and New Zealand. She has also worked in magazine company as a designer. Her design advertisements appeared in Fiji Times newspapers. Reshma paints pet portraits. She is great at bringing life to art. She has painted two paintings for Dina Lohan who was on celebrity big brother and her son Dakota Lohan (mother and brother of celebrity Lindsay Lohan). A pet portrait for a celebrity Kary Brittingham on Real housewife Dallas. As a visual artist her inspiration comes from the Bible, nature and from her life experiences. The difficulties that she faced not only growing up in a poor family but also as an adult she faced enormous amounts of challenges, abuse and homelessness. But she never gave up on her dream. She pushes and challenges herself everyday to do better art.
