I contacted Asheville Paint and Decorating owner, Bobby Brown, the end of May. He came to the house and we discussed what needed to be done. He told me the brand of paint to use when we selected our colors and suggested that we get samples and paint a portion of the wall to be sure of the color was what we wanted and explained how colors could look different at different times of day in different lights. Several days later, he sent me a contract which specified the work to be done and the cost.
I told him we were not locked into a specific time frame to get the work done. (Of course, you should set up a work schedule before you sign a contract if time is a factor for you.) Later in the summer we had family coming unexpectedly and we asked him if he could possibly get the guest bathroom done before they came. He very graciously came and got that part of the job done. Also, I decided to have more work done that we had originally contracted and he was agreeable to making the changes. He completed the work in late November.
Mr. Brown came when he said he would. He and his crew were very easy to work with. They moved all the furniture into the center of the rooms where they worked and covered it with tarps or plastic wrap to keep everything clean. We did not have to do anything except remove any fragile items. They cleaned up after painting and put the furniture back before they left in the evenings each day so that we were able to live in our house while they worked.
I would highly recommend Asheville Paint and Decorating for residential or commercial work.

From the date we originally contacted Bobby, he was prompt in replying to our inquiry, coming out to give us an estimate and then we scheduled the job for after the holidays. The crew arrived on the agreed upon date on time. The job was prepared, counters and floors covered and they proceeded to complete the work in two days. A second day needed for the second coat. While the front door and under counter trim were done separately - that job also took parts of two days.
We were highly pleased with their professionalism attention to detail, courtesy and care of our home while they were doing the job. I can't think of anything that could have been better and look forward to having Bobby and his crew do any additional painting we may need in the future.

This company was amazing to work with. I had heard horror stories of working with contractors, so I was nervous about this, as it was a lot of money to spend, and we'd just bought the house. They were great, though!

They even changed the color of one of the rooms at my request (we covered the cost of the new paint, of course) and didn't complain or act like it was an issue at all, though it was obviously inconvenient - and they were still done before the original estimated timetable. In addition, they also painted the inside of the closets (and even some of the shelves), which was not in the original contract, and, again, we weren't charged any more for that service. It was the little things like that which really made a difference. We have cathedral ceilings in our house, and they did a beautiful job on everything. Even after living in the house for over a month, I still haven't found any mistakes.

I thought the price was high at first, but I had a second estimate, and the second painter estimated the same price but wasn't as professional, so I went with Bobby. We don't regret it at all, and now I realize how much work was involved in the job and I know the money was very well spent. I can't say enough good things about the company! (The reason I gave a and quot;Band quot; for the Responsiveness category is that email wasn't the most efficient way to get in contact with them - but Bobby always answered his cell phone.) An added bonus - Bobby took a few minutes out of a job later on to give me a recommendation on an electrician, since we're new to the area. We would definitely use them again!

Bobby Brown and his crew were prompt, polite and patient with the changes I asked for. He came back to touch up some areas that were not up to our expectations and assured us that he would com as often as necessary to ensure our satisfaction.

It was not a good experience at all. The quality of the workmanship was not good. It took a long time to complete the work. I have had many problems after they finished the work, and I have not called them for that.

We have used them on several different occasions. They are very dependable and do good work. Their prices are not the lowest, but it is quite reasonable.

They did quality work and I was very pleased. They did an excellent job of clean up. The price was competitive for the quality of work they did.

The work turned out very good and we were pleased with them. The experience was very favorable. They gave a very honest and thorough estimate which they honored to the dollar. They showed up and cleaned up as they said they would. I had no problem whatsoever and I would recommend them.

He does an excellent job with a great crew. He keeps good communication with his customer, if he will be late he will call. He does the work quickly and efficiently. The clean up was super.

Every paint job has gone well. They are very professional using great paints, giving expert information about problems and correcting all surface issues.
