"On December 25th, the toilets, sinks, showers, and washing machine in our home were backing up. We called All Plumbing Services of Triad at 8:00am the next day on 12/26/21 which was still the Christmas holiday weekend. They returned our call immediately and Sunder Khemlani who is the owner came to our home to evaluate the problem and cleared a drain coming out of the house. The next morning Sundar and Dave came out at 11:00 to do a sewer line sectional repair. Roots had grown into the sewer line. The communication and customer service we received was exceptional. The cost for the repair was very reasonable. My husband and I will always use this company in the future for any plumbing issues and will recommend them to all our friends and neighbors. Thank you Sunder for your caring nature and the outstanding plumbing services you provide to your customers."

"Gerardo with G & E Plumbing LLC did an outstanding job on our shower replacement. From start to finish, he was professional, reliable, and paid close attention to every detail. The quality of the work exceeded our expectations, and the finished shower looks amazing. He showed up on time, communicated clearly throughout the process, and made sure everything was done right. "I was having problems with my sink not draining and called P3 Plumb Purple Plumbing for help. When he arrived, he quickly diagnosed the issue and explained that my P-trap had been installed incorrectly and that my sink needed a Studor vent. He made the repairs right away, and since then I haven't had a single problem. He was very responsive, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The work was completed quickly, and his pricing was very competitive. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and reliable plumber!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Check your basement floor. There’s usually a covered panel in the floor. The valve could also be near a sump pump. If you don’t have a basement, look near your water meter. You may see a rectangular or round cover, which is often clear (allowing you to easily see inside), over the valve.

Most homeowners pay between $150 to $500 to replace their frost-free faucet. It depends on the type and the brand. For a lower-end model, you won’t pay much more than the cost to replace a standard outdoor faucet. For a higher-end model, you could end up paying twice as much. Either way, installing a new frost-free faucet can lead to long-term savings by preventing damage to frozen pipes.

The type of sealant you use on a leaking pipe will depend on the pipe material and the cause of the leak. PVC P-traps should avoid petroleum-based sealants, which can degrade the plastic and worsen the leak. Pipe sealant is specifically designed for use on pipes, but remember—if your P-trap has a crack–it’s best to replace the pipe to avoid future leaks.

Start by inspecting visible pipes for signs of corrosion, moisture, or discoloration, which can indicate a leak. You should also listen for sounds like hissing or dripping, which may point you toward a leak. Moisture meters and infrared cameras can also help you identify areas of increased moisture around your home, which can also signify a leak.

It’s unlikely true water bugs will get into your home plumbing system. You may find them in gutters, rain barrels, or open irrigation on your property. If there are bugs near your indoor pipes, leaky sinks, or other moist places, they are probably Oriental cockroaches. Consult a pest control professional to determine the pest hiding out in your plumbing system.
