"Brad knows his products and is very passionate about them. He believes in the items that he sells, and for good reason. We bought several items from him and have been nothing but happy with them. Our vintage home smells SO FRESH! We'd had mold years earlier and had to go through remediation. I developed mold-induced asthma, which was having a very negative impact on my quality of life. We have 3 cats and 2 dogs in the house, which creates a LOT of dust. Even though we vacuum dauly and shampoo the carpets every month, the fur is ever-present. Additionally, we have chickens that live outside, but our smaller breeds have to come into our mud room during the winter. Birds are very dusty! I am also an opera singer, but my asthma had gotten so bad that I was actually getting dizzy while trying to practice! These air scrubbers make a noticeably IMMEDIATE difference and are so easy to maintain! They're quiet too. I can breathe again with NO INHALERS OR MEDS!"

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

According to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, there are over 10,000 kinds of mushrooms, and some are harmful to both humans and animals. However, not all mushrooms are harmful—some feed on thatch and wood, which provides nutrients for grass and plants.

But unless you’re a mushroom expert (mycologist), it can be hard to tell poisonous mushrooms from non-poisonous. So if you have kids or pets (or both), removing them is the safest route to take.

Most grass mold isn’t harmful to humans. Slime molds in particular aren’t toxic and may even possess some benefits. Other molds, like powdery mildew and snow mold, generally aren’t a concern, but can still cause allergic reactions and respiratory distress in those with high allergy risk and compromised immune systems.

While bathroom mold, commonly known as black mold, does not produce harmful mycotoxins, it can still pose health risks. If disturbed, mold spores can become airborne and potentially cause allergic reactions, respiratory problems, skin irritations, and other health issues. This is especially true for individuals with allergies or sensitivities. While bathroom molds are not as dangerous as other mold species, prompt action is crucial to mitigate health risks and prevent further spread.

Ensure proper ventilation, address leaks, and conduct regular inspections.

Mildew and mold are not different—mildew is a specific type of mold and yes, it can become dangerous if left untreated. It would be amazing if we were all biochemists but because we most likely aren’t, it isn’t wise to assume any mold is mildew on sight alone. Harmless mold and toxigenic mold (which can be deadly) look very similar, so if you see any new mold that looks even a little suspect, call a mold professional immediately.
