"This was such a good experience. My project was a small kitchen remodel that had cabinet alignment issues. The installer was sent out to assess the problem and even helped me to resolve the complication. I really appreciated their candor. When the backsplash started, the installers were so professional and skilled and courteous. They were also excellent about cleaning up the site when the job was completed. My kitchen is small but just so beautiful. I would recommend International Flooring highly."

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

In some situations, you may be able to try an alternative to repiping your bathroom. If you’re dealing with substantial clogs, for instance, you may be able to have a plumber come out and clear the clog. But if you’ve tried other repairs and are still dealing with issues, you can opt for epoxy pipe lining as an alternative to repiping. This method coats the inside of the pipe with an epoxy to seal holes or cracks.

A quality shower tiling project is a bathroom upgrade that can increase resale value. Bathroom remodels have the highest return on investments for any home update. Tiling a shower won’t offer the potential 70% ROI that a full bathroom remodel involving upgrading fixtures, installing storage, and a complete room retile will. However, you can expect an average return of 55% to 60% for this refresh.

Yes, you can put a bathroom in a bump-out. Some homeowners build a bump-out to enhance their bathrooms with new sinks, vanities, tubs, showers, or linen closets. Depending on the layout of your bathroom and what you’re adding to it, you may need to install new plumbing or reroute your existing plumbing lines.

In short, it depends. When it comes to accessibility, a roll-in shower is easier to enter than a walk-in bathtub because it doesn’t have the extra step required to access the bathing area. On the downside, walk-in showers can be less safe for seniors who struggle with standing or balancing. Parents of young children may also prefer walk-in bathtubs for their ease of bathing children who don’t yet know how to clean themselves.

Use waterproof or moisture-resistant paint in rooms with excessive humidity. You should also ensure these rooms are properly ventilated by regularly opening windows and turning on fans, especially after someone showers or takes a bath.
