"The side of my yard was pretty torn- up from a propane tank and backup generator installation. I was very pleased with the efforts and results despite harsh conditions. I highly recommend them."

"EDM showed up with the knowledge and expertise I needed because I was a flustered homeowner and needed a dirt road repaired. He had the know how and equipment to back it up! Nice clean machinery was comforting and made me feel secure that some Joe blow was not showing up with dumpy equipment. I would highly recommend EDM for your land improvements & repairs. Family folks made it feel comfortable!"

"I am allowing for ALOT of leeway for the Pandemic. Personnel issues topped the list for the time frame and job completion. However looking back, I think Rob was able to manage his personnel assets as well as could be expected for this job. The one guy who was here for 99% of the time and completed most of all the work ( I wish I could remember his name) WAS NOTHING SHORT OF FANTASTIC! I was in the military and I gave awards to guys who performed like this. He was at ALL times respectful, courteous and just a good person to have working on my property. I can say during the project there were times I was not happy, but looking back. They ended up performing as well as could be expected during the time. They need to know NOT to overbook for what your available assets can accommodate, but if you do, COMMUNICATE with the customer."

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

Septic tanks appear full after pumping because the liquid levels have returned to normal. If you can see the pipe, the tank is empty. However, heavy rain can cause septic tanks to fill faster than normal. You might also have leaky pipes or faucets, causing extra water to drip down the drains and into the septic tank.

You can check your own septic tank, but take precautions. Locate the access lid, usually buried a few inches underground, and remove it carefully. Look for the sludge and scum levels, and if they’re high, that means pumping may be necessary. Check for odors, slow drains, or pooling water around the drain field, which could indicate issues. Never enter the tank, as toxic gases can be fatal. All of that being said, a professional inspection is safer and more thorough.

You maintain a cesspool by pumping the tank every three to five years to prevent clogging. You should also have a septic tank or sewer system professional inspect the system once every three years. Avoid putting harmful chemicals and non-biodegradable items in the system to extend the life span of the cesspool.

Your septic tank naturally contains the beneficial bacteria it needs to function, so you typically don't need to add more. However, if you wish to replenish the bacteria, you can use natural methods. For example, you can add three overripe tomatoes to your garbage disposal or flush 1/4 ounce of active yeast down the toilet every three months. While store-bought septic enzymes and chemicals are available, many experts consider them unnecessary and potentially harmful. The most effective way to maintain a healthy bacteria population is to avoid using chemical drain cleaners, which can kill the good bacteria in your system.

To get rid of a sewer smell in your crawl space, you’ll have to find the source of the problem. If it has to do with your sewer lines, then repairing the line will help. You may need to make other repairs, like fixing your sump pump or encapsulating your crawl space to reduce moisture. After you make the repair, depending on the issue, you may still need to clean out your crawl space to get rid of the stink.
