"Exceptionally well. I am very pleased with the foundation repair, installation of a heavy-duty sump-pump with external drainage, heavy plastic gauge plastic covering the crawl space floor, and the full replacement of my crawl space insulation. The DryPro team from estimate and pictures to completion of the projects were all very efficient and very Professional. Cost was reasonable. Yes, I would hire them again."

Customers say: Quality work

"Checkered Flag Plumbing was very accommodating with my schedule. They finished the work in a timely manner. Before leaving, he looked at a few other plumbing concerns I had - fixing what he could and recommending what I could do with the smaller concerns which I greatly appreciated. Pricing was fair as well. Would highly recommend and will call again for any of our future plumbing needs!"

"I highly recommend Todd and SWS. My crawlspace needed so much work and Todd helped me understand all the options and stayed within my budget. SWS installed drain piped the length of the house, dug a basin with a sump pump, dehumidifier and laid a vapor barrier. What meant the most to me was Todd explaining the solutions, showing me the areas to be addressed and coming back out after his team was done to inspect their work (which was impeccable). I so relieved to have this project behind me."

"High integrity company and excellent customer service. We had humidity issues with our crawlspace and were impressed with the treatment plan provided by Lance among others we looked at. We were impressed with the installation and solution. Kevin (the owner) came out to inspect the work of his installers and even repaired a vent that was not their responsibility - impressive customer service and work. We would highly recommend them."

"They came and gave me a quote of 4500, I needed the job done so I hired them They sent another company to suck the tank out and they discovered that my tolites was running water they had some suggestions well I repair them and that fixed my problem then the guys from superior came and run the pressure washer and the job wound up costing me 5144 and in advance I told them I was on disability and fixed income, I highly recommend looking around before taking with these guys I know I feel like I was taken advantage of, they will never do any business for me again, another company found the problem and told me how to fix it, I fixed it, and superior made the money for it to me this is a big ripoff"

"We had a leak in the main line from the well pump to the house. The whole line plus some auxiliary pipes and the filter unit were replaced. Everyone I dealt with at Osborne Plumbing was very professional and answered my questions promptly. The work was done faster than expected, for which I was grateful. I would definitely call them again for other plumbing issues."

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

There are a couple of similar alternatives you may consider for a sewage ejector pump, including a grinder pump or a submersible sump pump. Submersible sump pumps protect your home from flooding from outside water, though, rather than handling wastewater from inside. A grinder pump macerates, or shreds, solid waste before pumping it onward to the sewer line.

First, you can try unplugging the two sump pump cords, one for the motor and one for the float switch, then plugging them back in to reset the sump pump. You can also reset the sump pump by turning it off and back on at the breaker. Many sump pumps have a reset button, which you can press and hold for a few seconds to reset the device.

Grinder pumps alone cost $300 on average. The average cost to install a new grinder pump is between $2,000 and $4,000, including the pump and labor. This price can also change based on the exact type of grinder pump you choose, labor costs in your area, and the power system your home currently has.

Yes, a well-maintained sump pump can increase a home's value and make it more desirable to potential buyers; it does not lower property value. By protecting the basement from flooding and water damage, a sump pump provides peace of mind and can make the space usable for storage or as an extra room. For buyers interested in homes with basements, a working sump pump is a significant feature that adds value by ensuring the space is secure and less likely to flood.

A sump pump should be placed at least three feet deep in a pit. The rim of the sump pump basin should be level with your basement floor. If you find your pit is too deep, you can fill the bottom with gravel until the rim of the sump pump is flush with the floor.
