"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. "Thank you very much for the excellent work that your team did. I had two items that needed to be fixed and I received a competitive quote. 3rd Rock Plumbing was not the most expensive, or the cheapest, but I liked the way that they treated me. They did not try to oversell me. I accepted their quote and had the work completed. They did a great job, even took off their shoes when they came inside of my house. Thank you again, I have your number saved in my phone."

"Work has been scheduled for early in 2019, but they could not have been more helpful and professional in explaining our options, how our home would get the most out of the panels, and how much we are likely to save. They were explicit about costs and available rebates. We were instructed to apply for a rebate from our local energy supplier and they literally walked us through the time specific rebate procedure. We made some minor changes to their standard contract and they accepted those changes without question. I can only assume their work will be up to these standards when we do the actual installation."

"Initially the work performed by Al Savelle was satisfactory. However, when we contacted Al to return and correct an issue with the toilet leaking from the base he refused to stand behind his work and correct the problem created by his work not being done correctly. Below are the details of the situation: Al Savelle was hired to re-seat 2 toilets in our home on 21-April-2018, after our floors were installed. On 22-May-2018, one of the toilets started leaking at the base. When I called to get him to come out and fix the issue he stated he would be at my house between 0830-0900 on 23-May-2018. The morning of 23-May, I received a text from Al stating "Good morning Scott, I can't warrantee that old toilet and my schedule is busy right now. Your best bet is probably to get another local plumber". I responded with several texts after that as follows: From Scott K: Al - you did the work to install the toilets and one is leaking. Therefore it is your responsibility to come and fix the issue since the work done was not done correctly From Scott K: The age of the toilet is irrelevant. The toilet did not leak before the floors were installed. The whole purpose in hiring you as the plumber was to ensure the reinstall of the toilet was done properly. From Scott K: When will you be here to correct the problem? Scott K: So am I understanding that you are not going to honor your promise of "Our work is good. We promise. And behind that promise, we want you to know that we back our work with a satisfaction guarantee. We won't stop working until you like what we've done"? I received no response to any of the above text messages After several attempts to call Al to discuss the matter (each time the call went straight to voice mail with instructions to text the issue to him as he does not check his voice mails), we are now forced to contact another plumbing company and pay for All Savelle's incompetent work in order to prevent additional damage to our brand new flooring."

Service 7 days a week with no extra charge for evenings or weekends. Our office is open and fully staffed 6 a.m. to midnight every day of the week. Seriously - call in on a Friday night, say at 11 p.m. and you will talk to a real Morris-Jenkins employee, not a call center who doesn't really know our company, our employees or how everything works! We also provide 24 hour emergency service if you have a problem in the middle of the night. 704-424-9959 We stand behind our work and all repairs are guaranteed for a full 2 years (refrigerant and condensate leaks not included). We tell you the price up front, before we begin the work, and we stick to it. We charge by the job, not the hour, so you pay the same no matter how long it takes us to do the work.

"Anthony L. came to service our HVAC. We used to be with Morris Jenkins and were looking forward to return to them after our move. Anthony was the first one to come to check our HVAC and he represented them well. He was respectful, kind, knowledgeable and really did a great job. We were very pleased to work with him and have Morris Jenkins back working to keep our home in good condition . Very pleased."

We are a detail-focussed small service & repair business catering to the needs of our customers 24/7. Service Calls and small repairs are done at standard Labor & Materials invoicing. Larger projects such as rewiring, remodels, deck construction, are done with a fixed-price contract and all elements calculated via a site visit with owner for a total price thereafter. Local area estimates are free, but a nominal charge is required for out-of-area estimate requests to offset fuel & maintenance costs for business vehicle plus nonproductive time lost ( I credit customer this if we are hired to do a job). I DO NOT subcontract as a rule but do have a couple highly skilled tradespeople who work independently and cover additional needs for my business as I need them, such as A/C system charging, etc. We have 100% satisfaction with our customer base and I guarantee all work 100% for 1 year after it is done (labor & materials)! Examples of our clientele are the average residential homeowner to medical offices to single professionals to retirement communities to legal system professionals to major retailer stores in Malls. We have a diverse portfolio of clients and all are treated the same way building trust by our work ethic, integrity and professional character we put forth on any job. We work VERY clean respecting all properties. Please check my LinkedIn business profile as well: https://www.linkedin.com/in/steve-lackovic-45761b91/

Water Heaters questions, answered by experts

The average water heater, whether gas-powered or electric, has a lifespan of about 10 years. If your heater is that age or older and no longer gives you hot water, replacing it with a new one may be the most cost-effective option. Maintaining your new water heater will help ensure that it lasts another 10 years or even longer.

Going from a tank to a tankless water heater is one of the most effective ways to lower your utility bills. The switch also frees up more space and ensures a consistent hot water supply, as the water is heated on an as-needed basis. It costs between $5,400 and $7,400 to install a new tankless water heater. Most installation companies will also help dispose of your old water tank.

You have more options for water heaters than ever before. The best one for your home depends on your hot water usage and budget. Some of the more common types of water heaters are the conventional gas heater, a heat pump water heater, or a tankless heater for smaller homes or those with less water demands. Some uncommon types are solar and point-of-use systems. Some homes may have a combination of two units, such as a large heat pump heater and a backup point-of-use system.

The average water heater holds between 40 and 60 gallons, but the exact amount of water that comes out during draining will depend on your unit’s capacity. The amount of time it takes to drain a water heater averages from 10 to 30 minutes.

The good news is that most home warranty plans cover hot water heaters, regardless of whether you have a tank or a tankless model. Your hot water heater should be covered by your home warranty because it's considered an essential home appliance.
