"I couldnt be more pleased with the service, price and quality of the workmanship. Aaron was extremely helpful with the material selection and the resulting installation on some odd shaped custom windows looks awesome! In fact, I'm having him do the windows in another room next week. I HIGHLY recommend this company."

"Susan Burke responded to my inquiry on Boxing Day, met me the following day for measurements and discuss film option then sent quotes within a few hours that were within reason and price range. Bethany Rudy followed up to schedule installation immediately thereafter and was kind enough to get us scheduled during the holiday week while I was off work. The installer (I believe Jeremiah) was punctual, professional and expeditious. It took less than an hour on a very large elevated window. The entire team was courteous, prompt, efficient and professional. Highly recommend."

"Kevin and John were great! Kevin put up 2 samples for us to choose from, after he helped us narrow down choices, within 2 days of contacting him. He sent estimate immediately, we signed off on it and installation was set for 5 days later. Entire process was very efficient. Great customer service!"

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

The average cost for home window tinting is around $600, with most homeowners paying between $150 and $1,600. Costs can also be calculated per square foot, typically ranging from $2 to $100, or per window at around $75 each. For example, tinting one or two windows might cost between $200 and $350, while a larger project of 13 to 15 windows could range from $4,124 to $4,747.

Several factors influence the total project cost, with the number and size of the windows being the most significant. Other key factors include the type, shade, and quality of the tint film, as well as labor costs. Additional treatments, such as low-emissivity (low-E) coatings, can also increase material costs.

Window tinting offers several benefits, such as making your home more energy-efficient by blocking harsh sunlight, protecting furniture from fading, and increasing privacy. For this reason, many homeowners choose to tint only the windows in specific areas where direct sunlight and privacy are primary concerns.

If your window film doesn’t come with an installation kit and its own application solution, you can make your own—but don’t use soap! Instead, use 1 teaspoon of baby shampoo mixed with a gallon of bottled water. Make sure the bucket in which you mix this solution is completely clean.

Expert installation optimizes insulation properties, cutting energy costs and enhancing home comfort year-round.

While you need heat to peel back window film, the tint will often leave behind adhesive residue. You can use chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol or acetone to remove the residue, though hardware stores sell specialized solutions for this purpose as well. You can also use soapy water in a pinch!

Whether window film is better depends on individual preferences and specific needs. In some instances, window film can be much less costly to install. Aesthetics is also a deciding factor. Window film may have a more significant appeal for design minimalists looking for a clean and streamlined look without the heaviness that comes with curtains. On the flip side, they can also appeal to design maximalists looking for creative expression in the form of color, patterns, and texture. Choosing between window film and traditional window coverings depends on factors like desired functionality, aesthetics, and personal preferences.
