"Mike was very professional and knowledgeable. He came out, surveyed the house and discussed my options and the work to be performed. His proposal was done on-site within about 5 to 10 minutes. After he gave me the proposal, he asked about staining my decks (I was going to do it myself and the materials were sitting on the porch). I advised him I was going to do it after I returned from vacation. He offered to take care of it for me, along with the painting, for no additional charge.
After I received a quote from a competitor (he knew who I had called w/o me telling him), I accepted his quote. Mike was out the next day (Friday) and power-washed the house. He returned the following Monday and painted the house and stained the deck.
While Mike impressed me with his professionalism and quick response - he's got very good customer service skills - I'm a little disappointed in the work due to the fact he didn't scrape and clean up the paint that had chipped away. If I had to do it again, I would make sure this was a part of the deal.
It may be partly my fault for not making it 100% clear this was part of my expectations. However, at the same time, I also feel he could have brought it up as well. For the price he charged, I really can't complain too much, considering he came in $2400.00 below his competitor (who didn't mention painting and scraping either) and the house looks good except for chipped sections.
No matter - i would still use him again - and will.
As a side-note, I found out Mike has other connections for handyman work and I'll more than likely go through him just simply because he's gained my trust.

"In July, 2019, our basement flooded for at least the 10th time since my wife and I had lived there. It was awful. It resulted in assistance from ServPro as well as remediation for mold. However, before remediation was performed, ServPro handed me a business card for Sparks Waterproofing. Jody Sparks (owner) came less than a week later for a site inspection of our home, our basement, and the topography of our property. He explained the concept of waterproofing as "water diversion." He took several days to meticulously put a comprehensive waterproofing plan together for us. Upon submitting the plan, he stated, "Your home, including your basement, will NOT flood again if you follow this plan." We hired him. We trusted him. He even assisted my wife with her concerns about some herb gardens and elderberry trees which she hoped he would be able to assist her with hopefully saving during the process. And he and his crew did just that. Over the past several months we have had several hard rains in Lenoir and our basement has been without even a drop of water. But the past 24 hours, when Lenoir received almost four inches of rain, much of it in torrents over a few hours, our home and our basement have not had even a drop of water. My wife and I can never thank Parks Waterproofing, Jody, Amber, and their highly professional crew members enough. I cannot sing their praises adequately. I would recommend Jody without hesitation. He was fair, patient, he listened to our concerns, he took his time in developing a water diversion plan specifically for our home, and his price was beyond just reasonable. Basically, they saved our home."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Most concrete sealers take about one to three hours to dry. However, those that penetrate may take up to 48 hours or more to completely dry. You can find specific drying details from the manufacturer on the label.

Yes, you can seal an old concrete floor as long as you remove stains and repair damage before sealing. Remove everything from the garage and clear the floor throughout with a concrete cleaner and power washing. Fill in cracks larger than 1/8 of an inch wide and remove all grease and rust stains before sealing. Make sure your concrete is fully dried before applying sealer.

Resurfacing a garage floor takes about eight hours on average, with another couple hours over three days to do the epoxy. Epoxy goes on in three coats, with each coat taking 24 hours to dry and cure. You’ll need to keep foot and vehicle traffic off of your garage floor for around 4 days in total when replacing your garage floor, so be sure to plan ahead before you start. This is a great time to organize your garage since you’ll need to move everything out to apply the epoxy.

The best type of paint for concrete exterior surfaces like concrete porches, steps, or walkways is high-quality exterior-grade paint with strong weather resistance. Acrylic latex blends with tiny anti-slip particles will help create an anti-slip coating for your concrete porch. This type of paint will stand up best to the elements, especially rain, snow, and ice. An exterior epoxy will also help strengthen your concrete porch.

Unlike paint, concrete stain won’t peel off. Instead, the color absorbs into the surface of this porous building material. While it doesn’t peel, the stain only penetrates the top layer of concrete, and as the top of the concrete eventually wears away, so will the stain. However, this process is much slower than paint peeling, especially on low-traffic surfaces.
