"I urgently needed the service because it had taken me a long time to find the necessary materials. When I called, the contractor was able to come by after finishing a nearby job to give me a quote. Since I already had the siding, we agreed on a very reasonable price. The job was completed, and he was able to use some of the damaged material, saving me unused siding for return. This couldn’t have worked out better under the circumstances, and I was very pleased with the outcome."

"Had CR3 come out to do the roofing and siding on my previous house. Nothing but professionalism and curiosity from this company. The old siding had holes in it and they were able to install all new so quickly. Bryan has the knowledge to walk you through everything. Would highly recommend for any needed project and will certainly use them in the future."

Siding questions, answered by experts

A brick exterior for your home has many advantages over other types of siding. While brick siding and veneer are more expensive, they’re also durable, long-lasting, and weather-resistant. Brick siding is aesthetically appealing, and can help to increase the value of your home. It’s also easy to maintain brick siding.

New siding improves curb appeal, insulation, and protection from moisture and pests.

You can put new siding over clapboards, but it’s not recommended. Some sidings, like vinyl siding, can go over clapboards with sheathing like a foam layer in between. However, it’s best to remove clapboard siding if you plan on replacing it with new siding. Burying wood clapboards underneath new siding can create risks of rot and mold, or hidden insect damage. It can also create warping issues over time. Removing clapboards allows you to properly install a new sheathing, as well as clean up the exterior wall and look for any signs of damage.

To clean painted aluminum siding, use a mixture of mild detergent and water applied with a soft brush or sponge. Rinse thoroughly with a garden hose to remove soap residue. For stubborn stains, cleaning aluminum siding with a power washer on a low-pressure setting can be effective. But avoid using high pressure, which could damage the paint.

Hail as small as 3/4 inch (about the size of a penny) can cause damage to your siding. When hail reaches 1 inch in size, you can expect to see more cracks, chips, and holes, and hail that’s 1 and 1/4 to 1 and 1/2 inches around will cause significant damage. If you see hail that’s 1 and 1/2 inches to 2 inches or more in size, the damage is likely to be extensive and possibly even dangerous.
