"Our is 2.5 storey and steep roof. Owner visited and without getting on roof told me that you need to replace 2 flashings. The house is 9 years old and according to him ( I am not sure) it is better to replace flashing after 10-12 years any way. I think flashing should have same about 30 years life of roof. However, I accepted the recommendation as cost was $150. Also, I don't think they inspected or did anything on other side of the roof. He sent Brian in the following week to carry out work. Brian is really hardworking honest guy. He spent about 4 hours on roof to replace flashing and nail down singhles on one side of roof. I was not happy since they didn't even look at other side of roof. Since my $200 +79 was worth their effort of 4 hours I am OK with the service provided. However, I felt that they are giving this deal to generate more business. and chnging of flushing was not necessary. Anyway I was happy with Brian and hence I am giving A other wise I would have given B."

"Called and talked to Sarah. She and Brian came within 2 days. Brian examined the area where a new decorative vent had been put in as well as a new vent boot. Brain took photos to show me that the decorative vent had not be sealed off in side. He caulked around both new items. I tried to pay them for the service call , but they would not take any money. The roof had been on for 2 years and it was not a problem with their work. Such great service! "
"The estimate appointment went really well even though it was during the weeks of endless rain and thundestorms. Day one, the back side of the roof was removed and replaced. Day two, the front side of the roof was removed and replaced. Before they began removing shingles they placed tarps on the ground where they were working to catch any falling debris. All of the workers were very professional in every aspect of the working enivornment from the moving of our patio furniture to the removal of debris from the job. The last thing that they did was sweep around the house for nails that may have fallen into the grass and shubbery. I could not have been happier with the work provided by the Ray Bullock Roofing crew, they were awesome. "
"They were the easiest construction company to work with ever. They were on time, professional, and did an amazing job cleaning up after they did my roof. Bill was wonderful to work with. I'm really hoping to have them do some siding work next year. My daughter recommended them to me and I am glad I took her advice."
Insulated vinyl siding costs about twice as much as the cheapest form of vinyl siding, but it’s still more affordable than other types of siding, including fiber cement, wood, stone, and brick. You get a lot of bang for your buck with vinyl siding; it’s durable, it’s available in a wide range of styles and colors, and it helps lower your energy bills.
The average cost to replace siding is $10,500, but you should expect to pay an average of $12,000 to install new siding over stucco. The additional cost goes toward assessing the old stucco for damage, any necessary repairs before the new siding goes up, and the materials and labor required to install furring strips over the stucco to attach the new material. Even with this additional cost, installing siding over stucco is often more affordable than removing the stucco and starting over.
Clapboard siding is traditionally made of wood, and is one of the most common types of wood siding in North America. When people talk about wood siding, they are usually talking about clapboard siding. However, not all wood siding is in the clapboard style: It can be tongue-and-groove, shake, and other designs. Also, clapboard siding can sometimes be made of different materials, like vinyl or fiber cement, so the terms are not interchangeable.
Yes, you can mix siding types to create a unique design. However, it requires thoughtful planning to execute properly. The installation process will also be more time-consuming than if you were to choose either vertical or horizontal for the entire home, so it will cost you more in labor and design costs.
Though vinyl siding is affordable, the material may not last as long or look as good as other siding materials. For example, wood siding has a beautiful, natural appearance but requires much more maintenance to keep your siding looking as good as new.
Fiber cement siding is another alternative that mimics the appearance of wood siding. Like vinyl siding, fiber cement is a low-maintenance material, but it does come at a higher price and is heavier and more difficult to install. Weigh the pros and cons of all siding materials before you decide on the best option for your home.
