"Evan is a class act. He takes an old fashioned approach to customer service and exhibits a dedicated work ethic. Evan listened to my plans and explained how he would execute the project. His price was reasonable and we sealed the deal with a handshake. There was no delay as Evan and his team went to work and completed my patio and walkway within the estimated time, including an altercation I requested mid-way through. I was so pleased with the work that I asked Evan to purchase more brick and extend the walkway the length of the property. "Jonathan was initially contacted to help us with an erosion issue which we thought would require a retaining wall (the wall was recommended by another landscaper). He assessed the situation and let us know the wall was not required and recommended a much simpler solution. He saved us thousands and so we could move on to another project we were wanting - a patio. His team did the work so quickly and did a beautiful job. I will definitely use his services again."

Decomposed granite and caliche can both harden into a solid surface using a plate compactor. However, due to decomposed granite’s fine particles, it’s not suitable for driveway surfaces. If you miss the perfect time frame to trowel finish concrete, you likely won’t get the smooth, flawless result you’re looking for. In this case, you should contact a concrete professional or look to methods like sanding, grinding, or patching once the concrete dries. These methods will ensure the best final result for the lowest cost.

The most obvious disadvantage of permeable paving is that the cost is typically higher compared to non-permeable concrete, pavers, or asphalt methods. Also, the porous material can get clogged with dirt and debris, requiring cleaning and power washing more frequently than standard paving materials and methods. Although permeable paving is not ideal for highways, airports, and other surfaces supporting heavy traffic and machinery, it is suitable for regular residential driveways.

If your new pavers look dull or unclean, it is likely due to efflorescence, a chalky, white powder that forms when lime in the pavers gets wet. This condition often resolves on its own, as rain will naturally wash it away within about a year. For faster results, you can use a pressure washer to clean the pavers. Alternatively, consider using cleaning products specifically designed to remove efflorescence or applying sulfuric acid crystals.
