"Outstanding! Jason arrived promptly and respected my property by removing his shoes while indoors and laid down cloth to protect my floors. He cleaned up everything once he finished and left my house as he found it. Bonus....an electrician from a different company previously told me that one of my light fixtures attached to a fan would need to be re-built or replaced. I asked Jason to take a look and he quickly identified the problem and fixed it. Turns out a little switch on the socket had been turned off; I didn't need a re-build or replace after all. Jason saved me quite a bit of money and time and scored a few points. John has also worked at my house replacing an exterior ceiling fan on the porch - same great service and respect! Ashley handled the scheduling and she is friendly and pleasant to speak with. My schedule is a little tricky at times and she worked diligently to schedule Jason and John when it worked best for me. By far the best electrical company I've worked with; I highly recommend!"

"Extremely happy with the experience! Adam (owner) and Tyler installed a new ceiling fan in our bonus room. The business is veteran-owned and operated. With that comes high integrity and accountability! They are very knowledgeable, courteous and customer-focused. Before starting the installation, they first conducted a free electrical check-up to ensure homeowner s safety and peace of mind. This also ensures employees safety which says a lot about the owner s concern for his staff. Office manager Rebecca, Adam s wife, is quite personable and a pleasure to work with. Scheduling is a breeze! They also have special touches like wearing shoe covers and bringing their own doormat which show their high level of professionalism and their goal to satisfy customers. Highly recommended!"

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Many ceiling fan-rated electrical boxes tend to be made of metal. However, some electrical boxes may also be made of heavy-duty plastic that is reinforced with metal support structures. It may also have an attachment that connects directly to a ceiling joist. If you are ever ensure, consult with a licensed professional to get their insight on best practices and whether the installation is a safe one.

Coffered ceilings often come with additional embellishments and accessories, including tin panels, medallions, trim, molding, recessed lights, and finials. Whether you’re looking for a simple grid pattern or want an elaborate, decorative ceiling with all the bells and whistles, there are plenty of options to choose from.

Identifying the source of noises is your first step to soundproofing a room without overspending. Generally, sound comes from inside or outside of the house. Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Inside noises require you to soundproof floors, ceilings, and doors, whereas outside noises may require you to soundproof your attic, windows, and walls facing the streets.

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.

Since the cost of installing a ceiling fan is $250 for most homeowners, it might be beneficial to replace your existing fan if you are experiencing a significant repair issue, like a broken motor. However, for less expensive repairs, like a fan blade replacement, you’ll likely spend less on the repair than a complete fan replacement. Of course, if you’re looking for an upgrade or a new style fan, replacing it altogether is always an option.
