"Due to hurricane Durian I asked Home Advisor for a recommendation.. THEy promplly answered my call for services, anv quote for the replacement of a patio roof. I havent actually used him because the job required to be scheduled for October 21,, 2019. He described exactly how he would do the job including the quality of the materials to be used right down to the type of nails he would use, the shingles and treated plywood he would also use!! this review is based upon his knowledge of the job along with his sincerity!!"

"We initially called Mr Hargrove in August for an estimate on painting of the exterior trim, gutters, and around windows and doors, etc. on our two story brick house.  We were very impressed with his punctual call return and his punctual arrival for an estimate.  We needed the house pressure washed and scraped all around as the house had been neglected by the previous owners and needed serious work.  We liked his plan and his estimate and we decided on the spot to hire him and his company as there were many other things that were also going to be needed and we thought "this was our guy for anything that we need"  His crew showed up on the date and time specified and went to work immediately washing and scraping the exterior of the house.  They also had to remove all the storm windows for proper scraping and painting.  It was pretty hot, but his guys showed up every day and did a fantastic job.  We were and still are VERY impressed with the job they did and would hire them again in a minute!  During one particular nasty rain storm we noticed a serious leak in a couple of rooms and told James about it and he went right up on the roof and found where it had leaked and within the next few days, he had put on a new roof on that part of the house and it has not leaked since!  And the new shutters they installed look great!!  We have also had two of our neighbors stop by commenting on how good our house looks and wanted to know who did it and we happily gave them his number!  We are new to this area and we feel very fortunate to have found James Hargrove and his home improvement company and definitely plan on using them again!!

"Preston of G-1 Plumbing performed the services and addressed the toilet & drain problem. He was unable to stop leak(made it worse) & submitted his recs to Choice Home for review. I was unable to understand Choice Home's response regarding the faucet leak. Their review stated faucet needed to be replaced BUT it was under "builder's warranty." I built this home in 2005. There is no "builder's warranty" now. I cancelled the proposed work order & paid out-of-pocket. A Friend, who was familiar with my builder and knows faucet components, came to my home, adjusted/cleaned the faucet cartridge and stopped the leak. The CHW tech, Preston, is conscientiuos, however, IMHO lacked the knowledge & experience to stop my leak. Home Warranty Companies, at least in my area, hire owner/operators who need the work to build their business and are NOT the most experienced/knowledgeable & are willing to work for less money. In my experience, Home Warranty Companies want the CHEAPEST resolution, not the BEST. I would recommend G-1 Plumbing for most plumbing issues."

"Hal Moore and his amazing Sanderling team transformed my old, crumbling oceanfront cottage into a fortified beautiful jewel that I never knew was hiding underneath the dangerously weathered structure and extremely dated interior!. From our very first conversation, I knew not only that Hal had the experience and savvy to preserve and improve the house, but also that I could trust him with a big project I'd have to manage from a distance. Neither of us imagined the ugly surprises that would be uncovered along the way, or the insane supply chain issues and subcontractor shortages that plagued the entire process. The team pulled off multiple miracles, found excellent solutions to SO many challenges...I'm convinced many builders would have been tempted to throw up their hands and walk away. But Hal had a vision of what was possible and he never gave up. I hoped for better protection from the elements and modest interior improvements. I got a virtually new house, inside and out, that surpasses my wildest imaginings and will I'm sure be a treasure not only to me, but to all who vacation there. The exterior is now maintenance-free, extremely solid and lovely; the inside is open, full of light, incredibly functional, cozy and comfortable, with lots of classic Carolina cottage charm. If you're so fortunate as to have Hal Moore consider your project, JUMP on the opportunity! You could not do better."
