"I highly recommend this company for any project you might need done. Our lot had to be cleared of 100 pine trees before the construction of our dream home could begin. They have done an amazing job in every phase of the construction, They have excellent work ethics and have kept in regular contact with us to make sure that everything is exactly how we want it to be, even when I changed my mind All of the subcontractors have done a great job in a very timely manner. They are courteous and professional, and truly seem to enjoy their work. Every detail of our new home is exactly how we wanted it and better, both inside and out. Except for a few minor things that I wanted added we knew exactly how much each thing would cost including the cost of my wants before doing them. We were right on budget. They told us that they built our home as though it were their own home. I rate them a 5 in every category and recommend them for any job, large or small"

"Tony had done some clean up in our yard in the spring and did an excellent job. We asked him to redesign an area in the front yard that was pretty wild. He had suggestions but respected our requests as well. The finished project was done in a professional and timely fashion. The work is well done and priced competitively. We will definitely keep Tony at the top of our list for landscaping projects."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Digging a bush up by the roots is the most natural DIY method for removing a bush stump. Start by identifying the shrub type and revealing its roots. Cut the shrub to its base and loosen the soil, ensuring no utility lines are nearby. Optionally, treat the base with herbicide, then dig around the roots and cut a circle around the shrub using various tools. Dig a trench, cut the base of the root ball, and finally fill the hole to prevent regrowth. This thorough process ensures complete removal without damaging surrounding areas.

Trenches are typically 12 to 24 inches deep and 8 inches wide. However, the required depth depends on the specific project and local ordinances. For example, a French drain may need to be 18 inches deep, while a water pipe might require a depth of 24 inches and a drainage pipe 36 inches. Your city or county may have specific regulations, so it's wise to consult with an excavation professional to determine the correct depth for your project.

You do not have to dig footers for a deck as long as it meets local code and holds up to weather in your area. If you live somewhere that experiences high winds and earthquakes, you may need to dig for your deck posts. Deck blocks, post anchors with base plates, and helical pile systems are the three no-dig deck post options you can choose from if local code permits.

Yes, you can install a trench drain if you already have concrete in your yard or garden. While it can complicate some aspects of the job and slightly run up the cost, it is doable. Residential trench drains can be easily retrofitted to outdoor areas with concrete without having to remove excessive amounts of your patio, pool area, or decorative walkways.

To drill a shallow well, you may be able to use a drive well point. This is a tapered point that is driven into the ground. A drill bit at the end of PVC pipe may be another option to consider. A lot of the cost depends on what tools are available near you.
