"My home has a chimney that was unsafe to use (cracked masonry liner). I dreaded the time and cost of a tear down and replacement. I contacted "Shamrock Chimney" and scheduled an appointment with their lead technician "Tony". He suggested a less costly and safer alternative (steel liner and a resealing of the outer brickwork. The work was performed over a two-day period. I am fully satisfied with the results. One thing I really apricate is the communication during the project. The "front office" would let me know by either phone or email when the project would start, and then Tony and would give me updates. All and all the whole process went smoothly. Also, this was my first time with "Angi", I hope to use their services again in the future."

"Residential gas grill conversion from Natural Gas to Liquid Propane. Chris called me same day as my request through Angi. Was at my house the next morning. Spotted the problem quickly, explained the solution and quickly completed the job. Very happy client!!!"

"Fantastic! Richard and his crew worked tirelessly to create my one of a kind dream kitchen island that had never been done before. They brought to fruition an idea that I had and made it a reality. I wanted reclaimed wood and a complete rustic feel to fit into my log cabin home. I even had an unexpected water leak during a storm that was reparied the next day and prevented my house from further damage. I have a beautiful custom bookshelf built into the wall, he fixed my leaking skylights instead of replacing them and saved me money! I have a new garbage disposal, cleaned my gutters, repaired my decking, new storm doors and and sink fixtures. Everything I needed to make my newly purchased home liveable."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Yes, most states require a plumber to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Check our state licensing tool to review the local plumber guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

You can maneuver your gas grill into place, but you cannot connect the grill to your gas source yourself. All municipalities mandate that a certified plumber carry out this work, so you’ll have to reach out to a plumber or a gas grill installation company in your area. Given how dangerous a gas leak can be, gas lines and connections are highly regulated, so you’ll need a professional’s help and a permit to install a gas grill.

The most significant benefit of having a gas grill over a propane grill is that you never run out of fuel unless there’s an outage in your area, which is rare. Unlike with a propane grill, you’ll never need to haul tanks back and forth to a local fill station, and you’ll never find yourself unable to use your grill because you forgot to refill your tanks. Gas grills also burn slightly cleaner than propane grills, and natural gas costs significantly less than propane, meaning it’s more affordable to run your grill.

Local codes often mandate specific fittings, permits, and vent considerations for permitted function and safety, which are enforced by professionals.

DIY is not recommended due to safety concerns. Professional installation ensures proper connections and compliance with codes.
