"Almost two years ago, I hired a company to install a large retaining wall built with 6 x 6 wooden beams. This was a mistake. The wall did not drain properly and started to separate. This wall failure put my house at risk of sliding down a steep slope. I contacted Art Miller at Engineered Retaining Walls, LLC, and he immediately had a crew out to my property to brace up my house and prevent it from sliding down the slope while he removed the wooden retaining wall and replaced it with a Redi-Rock retaining wall to protect my home. The work is excellent, and so are the people at Engineered Retaining Walls. I highly recommend this company."

"First of all, I used Patrick and his crew last Fall to fill in an outdated koi pond.  They did an excellent job so knew at that time I would continue working with them.  They always call ahead, always on time and an extremely efficient and friendly group to work with.  

They removed the old out-dated shrubbery along the entire front length of my home.  Removing the roots after cutting down.  This left a clean slate in which they planted 14 appropriate size bushes which will do well in the full southern exposure.  No clipping involved as they get larger which I had to do with the older bushes. They also planted close to 100 liriope plants.  3" of mulch was added to cover this area.  My brick walk had many sunken bricks and a rusted metal paver was raised out of the ground which was suppose to hold the bricks in the walkway from sliding around.  Patrick and his crew removed the metal strip, installed the correct plastic locking pavers and redid most of the bricks which are now even and safe. It looks beautiful and neighbors have added their approval.  Completely different picture compared to what I had to deal with before.  He knows his stuff!!!

"I hired Benn to put in some terracing along the back of our cabin where there is a steep slope and we had been dealing with erosion. He spent two days on the project and now we have a great 4-foot wide gravel walkway that has also taken care of our erosion issues. All communication was done in a timely way and they worked to keep the scheduled dates (even with some weather issues leading up to them) because it is a rental property and we had blocked off those days well in advance. "I would highly recommend David. After finding him on Angi, I had him inspect a slope and retaining wall on a house we are looking to purchase in Franklin. The home inspector had noted some settling of the porch, and I worried about the stability of the slope underneath the porch. The current owners had a local person build a retaining wall a few years prior, and they were convinced that any erosion issues had been resolved. However, David immediately pointed out to me that the current retaining wall wasn't built properly and was failing to do its job. Already, there was so much erosion that he could literally slide his hand under the base of the retaining wall, and he warned that we were sitting on a time bomb. In fact, David said it would literally be only a matter of months before we had a much bigger problem on our hands. I contacted the owners, and -- about a month later-- they agreed to have David fix the problem. Even from the time when David first came out, more erosion had occurred in the ensuing several weeks -- just as he had warned. He did a great job of building a much more substantial wall and also graded the top of the driveway to fix a drainage issue. I can't imagine the mess we'd have had to deal with if the problem had not been addressed. Before contacting David, I'd spent a good bit of time researching contractors in the area. The mountains are wonderful, but they are also home to a number of contractors who do very questionable work (as evidenced by the contractor who built the first retaining wall). When I saw that David had over 250 positive reviews on Angi, I knew I'd found our contractor! He did not disappoint. If you're looking for someone you can trust to do slope or foundation work, look no further. David is your man."

With sheer will the team of Nick, Elizabeth, and Isaiah faced a number of of life’s challenges from flat tires, trucks that had maintenance issues, a car fire, and more.
