"Very Good! They found the septic, dug about 18 inches to get to access, cleaned the filter (which was clogged) and cleaned out the septic tank. They also recommended extenders from the under ground access to ground level, which I had them do. This way next time they won't have to dig up my lawn."

"EXCELLENT customer service, GREAT communication and the appointment was easy to schedule. I spoke with Cameron was very accommodating & got me on the schedule immediately. He gave me a ballpark quote and explained the service that I’d receive. The day of Chris called to let me know he would arrive within 20 mins. He introduced himself & quickly got to work. He located our tank and began to dig and dig (hard work!!!) until he uncovered both pipes for the inlet & outlet. He explained & showed pictures of our tank & what he’d be doing. Then he carried his suction pipe to the tank & began to pump our septic. He buried the tank, scattered the earth and the spots are barely noticeable. He gave excellent advice to maintain our system and still had a smile after all that work. I would definitely recommend All Pro Enviro for any septic work. Chris is a star employee, he has a great attitude and works very hard. I am thankful for this honest company and will use them again!!"

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Bladder and diaphragm well pressure tanks are usually pre-charged at the factory. Even so, it’s important to check the air pressure in the tank using a tire pressure gauge on the relief valve. The instruction manual usually calls for 28 psi. Use a hand pump to add more air or release some air from the tank to reach the desired number. Check the pressure periodically to see if you need to add more air to the tank.

Yes, you can adjust your well pump pressure relatively easily by yourself. You’ll need to remove the cover from your pressure switch and adjust a nut that controls cut-in pressure. Learn more about how to adjust a well pump pressure switch with a step-by-step guide to setting your water pressure.

It only takes a few days for a septic tank to fill with water after a pro has pumped it. This is completely normal, and the water is a vital part of your septic system’s wastewater treatment process. The water that fills your tank days after pumping is not the same as the tank being filled with waste. You shouldn’t have to pump your septic system more than once every three to five years unless you have a tank that’s too small for your home’s water output or there’s a problem with your leach field.

Ideally, you should conduct a mechanical inspection and a bacterial or well water inspection yearly. While you might be able to push it off to every other year, it’s best to have peace of mind, especially when it comes to something that you use so frequently.

If you experience repeated gastrointestinal illness in the household, it's important to test the well water more regularly for quality and cleanliness to check for bacteria.

The lifespan of your well casing depends mainly on the material it’s made from. Stainless steel and galvanized steel casings are designed to withstand the pressures and environment of deep-water wells but are susceptible to corrosion. Most steel casings last from 20 to 35 years, on average. PVC casing is highly durable and, if used correctly, can last up to 50 years.
