"I hired Superior Plumbing and Drains to install a gas water heater in my home. They provided a 10 year full warranty and cleaned up after they finished the job. Austin and Zach had great customer service and were extremely professional. I will hire them for all my future plumbing needs and I would recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing work done in their home!"

"The crew was to do a saw cut on our existing stamped concrete floor to install internal irrigation drains. They used a jackhammer, and did irregular cuts that were difficult to repair. They also scratched our cement floor in several places. However they were very polite and cleaned up well behind themselves. The irrigation system is in."

"Todd and company did a very thorough job and explained it well. Even though it was taking longer than thought to complete the job, a french drain, and I told them they didn't need to feel compelled to complete the job in one day and could come back the next day to finish up. But they instead persevered and finished the job that one day. That work ethic is sorely missed by many in contemporary society and is a refreshing break from the reality."

Customers say: True professional

"WE RECENT MOVED TO A COMPLETELY RENOVATED HOME BUT MY WIFE WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE KITCHEN.  WE DECIDED TO MAKE SOME CHANGES.  BOTH MY WIFE AND I ARE VERY DETAILED PEOPLE SO WE DECIDED TO RESEARCH VIA THE INTERNET AND LOOK FOR A PROFESSIONAL WHO COULD SATISFY OUR NEEDS.  ANGIES LIST WAS AN EXCELLENT CHOICE TO LOOK AND READ OTHER CUSTOMER REVIEWS.  WE CONTACTED FOUR POTENTIAL CONTRACTORS AND DECIDED ON WALT HAINES BECAUSE I HAD A GOOD FEELING ABOUT HIM AFTER HE MADE HIS PRESENTATION.  BELOW I LISTED COMMENTS ON PRECISELY WHAT HE AND HIS RIGHT ARM...SEAN DID.
1)     EXPLAINED IN DETAIL EXACTLY WHAT HAD TO BE DONE AND HOW THEY WERE GOING TO DO IT.
2)     INSTALLED FLOOR AND WALL PROTECTION.
3)     EXCELLENT COMMUNICATORS.
4)     HONEST
5)     DID THE LITTLE THINGS NO ONE ELSE DOES.
6)     ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
7)     CLEAN-UP EVERYDAY BEFORE GOING HOME.
8)     EXCELLENT WORK ETHIC.
THE OLD CLICHE....YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.  MY WIFE IS HAPPY AND I'M HAPPY.  OUTSTANDING JOB......

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Vinegar is better for an AC drain line because it’s less corrosive and won’t damage the pipes. It’s also a safer and easier product to use. Bleach should not be used on your AC drain line because it can corrode your pipes and harm the evaporator coil in your air conditioner.

A small amount of diluted bleach is okay to pour down a garbage disposal. As part of your weekly garbage disposal maintenance, use 1 teaspoon of bleach with your concoction of ice cubes and lemon peels. Turn on the disposal and run the water until the blades chop up the ice cubes.

Any more bleach in your disposal can harden oils and greases in your drain, which can cause problems. Always wear gloves when working with bleach, and know that you really don’t need bleach at all—vinegar, baking soda, salt, and ice should do the trick.

A good option for opening up and cleaning a sink drain is to use a ¼ cup of baking soda and 1 cup of white vinegar, along with a rubber stopper to cover the drain while those materials work their magic. After about 15 minutes, you can flush the drain with hot water. In many cases, these materials can scrub out minor clogs and get the drain working properly again. If the issue persists, call in a plumber near you to get the problem permanently fixed.

A two-way cleanout can help if there’s already a clog, but the best strategy to prevent one is by not rinsing grease, oil, or fat down your drains, not flushing or rinsing coffee grounds or egg shells down your drains, flushing only human waste and toilet paper (so no diapers, period products, bathroom wipes, or paper towels), and using drain guards on all of your drains.

You may have a clogged gutter. Downspouts can also clog if your gutter collects too much debris. Hire a professional gutter cleaner, and if you still have problems, install a gutter guard (which prevents debris from entering your gutter system) and a downspout extension (which helps drain water further away from your foundation, so it doesn't pool near your house). Follow these tips to keep your gutter downspouts clean.
