Shipping container pools last up to 25 years. On average, they’re more durable than the standard aboveground pool, which only lasts 10 to 20 years. Their durability is similar to fiberglass in-ground pools. Concrete pools, on the other hand, outlive almost any other type of pool. The only pools that don’t need grounding are those without electrical components, such as small inflatable pools. Any outlet around a pool should be a GFCI to cut the current if the outlet gets too wet. At the very least, the pool’s electrical should be plugged into a GFCI outlet, if not a dedicated GFCI breaker. Check local guidelines and requirements to ensure you’re following all safety regulations. 

There are a few differences when it comes to winterizing above- vs. inground pools. Above ground pool winterization usually involves less hassle, time, and expense than the process for winterizing an inground pool. All the lines on an above ground pool are easy to access, making draining easier. Plus, above ground pools are typically smaller, meaning cleaning is quicker, and chemicals cost less.
