Small jobs welcome

"Edward and his crew did an excellent job. The first delivery of fencing was subpar quality and they rejected it. That showed me they cared about the quality of their product. Fence is now done and looks great. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a fence installation. Thanks"

"Did a great job on installing a fence for my new house. It looks wonderful. The fence is a vinyl concave picket fence on 2 sides and a privacy fence on one side. Using a swoop down panel, the two styles blend together great. Steve is very concerned with doing a good job and making the customer happy. When he finished my fence, he asked if there was anything that I would like see changed, but there was nothing I could think of, the fence looked perfect. I shopped around, and Steve was able to give me an instant quote that was far less expensive then the competition."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

You can only change your neighbor's fence with their permission. A neighbor's fence is their property, and altering it without their consent could constitute trespassing or property damage, which may have legal consequences. If you have concerns or disagreements about your neighbor's fence, communicate with them openly and try to reach a mutually agreeable solution. If you believe the fence violates local zoning laws or property regulations, consult with local authorities or seek legal advice to address the issue through proper channels.

Yes, you can expect your composite fencing to fade quickly during the first six months. This happens naturally because the wood oils in the fencing material, called tannins, bleed out. Because of this, it can help to get a color chart from your fence company, which should show you the color of your fence before and after it fades.

Privacy fences in residential neighborhoods tend to stand between 6 and 8 feet tall, but local building code usually dictates the maximum height. Livestock fences that border large land plots range from 3 to 6 feet. Shorter, decorative fences, which are common in front yards, are around 3 feet tall, on average. Fence height also tends to vary by material, with wood fences usually sitting at 6 feet tall, and chain-link and wrought iron fences tending to sit at half that.

You can't build a fence against your neighbor's fence if it touches or is attached to it unless you get explicit permission from your neighbor. Most municipalities recommend building a fence about two feet away from your neighbor's fence to allow access for fence repair and mowing.

Post depth for shadowbox fences should be at least two feet deep plus an additional foot for every foot of fence height above four feet. For a standard six-foot fence, this means a minimum depth of 3 feet. This depth helps to protect the structural integrity of your fence in the face of wind, soil movement, and seasonal ground shifts
