"I had a wonderful experience with Creative Flooring Solutions! Not only do the floors look incredible, Jason and his team were so helpful and easy to work with. I had them sand and stain my hardwood floors before I sold my house and now I wish I had these floors the whole time I was living there! I can't stop looking at them. Jason really took the time to explain multiple options to me and got the job done faster than I ever imagined. I highly recommend this company for anything you need done to your floors!"

"I hired Refloor to come back and do my basement too. The installation was delayed due to stock shortage but the floors are in and they are beautiful. I hired my own painter to stain the moldings to match the floors. The floors look so much like real wood. Great job!"

"Advantage helped me pick the proper flooring type for my situation. They had to replace the sub-floor and level and sand before laying the vinyl tile. my floor was in bad shape. They did an excellent job. The crew was courteous, prompt, and cleaned up at the end of every shift. I would highly recommend this company. I am thrilled with the end result."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, there are plenty of ways to lay stair carpet without grippers, such as carpet adhesive, magnetic flooring, or staples. Adhesive may be your best bet if you don’t want grippers, as it will most likely stick the best and cause the least amount of damage. However, if you’re looking for an easy fix, grippers are one of the best solutions you can purchase.

To properly maintain and care for hardwood floors without damaging the finish, establish a regular cleaning routine. Sweep with a broom or microfiber dust mop daily, or vacuum weekly, to remove dirt and debris that can scratch the surface; be sure to clean in tight corners and under furniture. For a deeper clean, use a damp mop with a cleaner specifically designed for hardwood floors, but avoid using harsh chemicals or excessive water, as this can damage the wood. You can further protect your floors by placing mats at entryways to catch dirt and moisture and putting felt pads under furniture legs to prevent scratches. For long-term care, refinish the floors as needed to keep them looking their best.

You can buy inexpensive kitchen flooring off the shelf at most home improvement stores with the best prices offered by big-box chain stores. Be aware, though, that not all flooring materials are suitable for DIY installation. Most flooring contractors can buy your flooring at a discount, so be sure to check with your contractor before buying your flooring materials.

Yes, in most cases, you can use furniture sliders on carpeting. However, it’s best to seek out furniture sliders that are specifically meant for carpeting, or a larger size of slider that the furniture won’t slip off of as easily. Many varieties of furniture sliders are versatile enough to use on carpeting, hardwood, or tile floors.

In most cases, carpeting isn’t kind to the wood that it’s attached to. Most carpet installation uses adhesive or nailing strips, both of which will damage wood. Conversely, you can choose to use an adhesive designed to be removed from wood, in which case carpeting can actually protect your hardwood stairs.
