"Bautista Bros Builder were very professional and responsive. They gave me a very fair price on my quote. They showed up on time and performed the work very professionally. They took great care not to damage anything else while working. I was very satisfied with the work performed and would definitely recommend them to anyone seeking home repairs."

"The crew arrived in the middle of the window of time. They demolished the rotted stairway, and built a new one that was far better than the stairway the builder had made, and were done at 4:30 that afternoon. All scrap was removed and everything went well. Great job"

"I originally called for closet door repair, which went perfectly. As he was leaving I asked about the possible repair of an outside pole repair on my front porch. He was also able to fix that in the same visit. I was very pleased and will definitely be using his business for future repairs."

Small jobs welcome

"When asked about not only the mechanical repairs to the door, did he want to help out with painting, he did not seem that interested to take on that work.  He recommended that we use a painting company.

Customers say: Super punctual

"Fantastic job, reasonable prices, professional crew. One of the best parts of Norm's crew is that they provide virtually all the services needed with one contact. During the renovation there were several times where something needed to be repainted after a repair. Norm is able to bring in his crew on short notice to do these small jobs, saving me the work of having to contact and schedule someone else. They did such a great job that we used them again on my fiance's house to replace the roof and to repair siding damage. We highly recommend them!"

"I hired Zak to build exterior stairs for my home in January, and couldnâ  t be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, Zak demonstrated exceptional professionalism and skill. Communication was top-notch. Zak took the time to understand my needs and timeline. Throughout the project, he kept me informed of progress, promptly addressing any questions that arose. His craftsmanship was outstanding, resulted in stairs and railings that exceeded my expectations. Zak worked quickly and efficiently, completing the project in a timely manner without sacrificing quality. Working with Zak was an absolute pleasure. His dedication to customer satisfaction and commitment to excellence is commendable. I wouldnâ  t hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of carpentry services. I look forward to my next project with him."

"Jeffrey from ICA turned our outdated fireplace into a gorgeous focal point. His expertise and attention to detail is represented in the quality of his work. He built a custom mantle and surround exactly to our specifications?actually, better than we had imagined! He also handled our kitchen and bath cabinet installation with incredible precision. Professional, artistic, and detail-oriented. We couldn't be happier with the results, and we highly recommend his work."

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

The term “cottage” is subjective, so there’s no rigid definition, but it generally refers to a small home with simple and purposeful architecture that embraces nature and focuses on charm over everything else. Cottages are typically 1 or 1 1/2-stories tall, usually with gabled roofs, and are built out of natural materials that help make the structure a part of the surrounding nature rather than something that stands out from it. A big part of what makes a cottage a cottage is the decor, which includes natural materials from the nearby area.

The best lumber for building will be the strongest and most eco-friendly wood your budget allows. That being said, Douglas fir, pine, oak, and maple are all common building materials. Contractors will use a strong, inexpensive wood to frame a house or other structure and finer woods like mahogany for detail work.

Whether a prefab home is worth it or not will depend on your personal needs and preferences. Overall, prefab homes tend to cost less than traditional homes, although they also tend to have lower resale values. Another thing to consider is that prefab homes usually last 50 to 60 years or longer, while traditional homes last 50 to 100 years or more.

The timeline to build your barn will depend on the barn type and the company you hire. A pole barn may take six weeks or so, while a traditionally framed or steel-framed barn can take four months or longer. Building a barndominium takes the longest because you are essentially building a new home. You can expect barndominiums to take six months or longer to build.

Adding an extension or addition to your home costs more than a loft conversion in all but the rarest cases where the home's structural integrity is lacking. Because a home addition requires a new foundation section or significant structural upgrades to handle a cantilevered portion, the cost compared to almost any loft conversion is significantly greater for the same square footage.
