"We too had an excellent experience with Triad. These guys really are the best. Professional, punctual, courteous and extremely skilled. I contacted them Thursday morning, had an estimate from them that afternoon, and they had a full crew out here hard at work the next day. Performed difficult tree removal in a very tight spot. They're exactly what you want in a tree service."

"Todd was able to provide an awesome service for my tree trimming needs. Very knowledgeable when it comes down to his scope of work and I was always kept in the loop during production. I am very pleased with the work performed and will definitely be using T&M on jobs in the future!"

Small jobs welcome

"My neighbors tree fell onto my fence and damaged it. I hired Browns Stump Removal to fix it. Jim had the job done in a matter of 2 days. He also checked and replaced other loose boards on the remaining fence and noticed I did not have a handle for the gate. He added the gate handle. Customer service was great! Also, I would like to note, everything was done via phone and me personally having to be on-site was not necessary. Highly recommend."

"Falcon tree service was a wonderful experience for me and my wife. Joseph the lead arborist and owner was very respectful during the estimate, and took a great lead on his guys. One thing you should note about falcon tree service is that they really take their work seriously and safely and for half the price of a larger scale company! They were very polite and respectful, with full safety gear and helmets! when falcon came out to do the free estimate, they gave us a lot of options on what could be done and great ideas for the overall health of the tree but gave us a decision and we ultimately ended up removing the tree! After the removal of our tree, Joseph then made sure to knock on the door and make sure we were happy with the outcome, and it looked as if there was never a tree there! Definitely recommend Falcon Tree Care if you have any tree care needs!"

Customers say: True professional

"Josh cut a HUGE oak, an old maple, and trimmed limbs off an even larger poplar tree for us. First he came and gave us a free estimate and an approximate date. When he arrived, he did a great job! He was true to his estimate, and even came back to cut some of the larger pieces of trunk for us to make it more manageable. We wholeheartedly recommend Phipps Tree Service and will definitely use them again the next time!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Trees are beneficial to the environment and wildlife. If you have an old tree, but it’s healthy, it may be best to avoid cutting it down. However, if it’s showing signs of bug infestation, disease, or is potentially hazardous, then you should contact a tree removal company to cut it down.

If you are unsure whether you should have it removed or not, then speak with an arborist to determine what is best.

State and local laws vary, but in most cases, you are allowed to trim any branches from your neighbor's tree that cross your property line. However, it's important to ensure you do not damage the overall health of the tree in the process. Removing branches incorrectly can jeopardize the health of the tree and could lead to you being on the hook to replace it.

In general, trees should be planted no closer than 15 to 20 feet from your foundation. For larger trees with far-reaching roots like maples, oaks, or poplars, a good guide is to plant as many feet from your home as the tree’s height is expected to reach at maturity. Some trees, like elms and willows, should only be planted far from where their roots may encounter sewer or water lines.

Rock salt or Epsom salt can damage and kill tree roots over several weeks and can even assist in removing the tree's stump. However, you need to drill holes or cut into the stump and surface tree roots to inject them properly with the salt. Repeat the process every two weeks until the roots visibly rot away.

When a palm tree no longer produces new fronds and old fronds start turning yellow-brown, that’s a sign the tree is dying. However, transplanted palm trees can show these signs for the first several months as they re-establish themselves. It’s best to keep watering and not give up on the palm tree until a couple of seasons have passed and you’re sure it’s not coming back to life.
