"I requested a plumber and had one within a week that was knowledgeable, courteous and polite. He assessed the damage, educated me, asked if the price was acceptable, and completed the job in a timely manner. Thank you to one of the best companies I have dealt with. They get a 4.5 rating only because there is always room for improvement"

"Eric did a great job while giving me my quote. He was very knowledgeable and found some issues with my siding that I hadnt noticed yet. He showed me the product that DaBella was offering and the differences in other siding materials. He worked very hard to make the siding replacement quote affordable and fit all of our needs. I cannot wait to get the new siding."

"My certified inspector MatthewCote out of the Belgrade, MT office found i have a natural spring comming up in my crawlspace. I knew I had water streaming all over crawlspace and my husband believed it was due to watering lawn of the hill our house sits on. Matt was great to work with, he was totally professional. He explained my situation and showed me in photos and map of my basement what this ssprincause, how it had eroded and damage caused. It has been going on for quite a few years, of which I noticed escalation of water even though I decreased watering on above lawn. I wish I had researched this sooner. But MATT assured me it's not too late. He was clear and concise as to what I needed done to resolve and eliminate further damage by installing 2 sump pumps, installing trenches & piping to drain all areas of water, draining ouside of house past septic and leach field, add a humidifier and encapsulation of crawlspace. I highly recommend Groundworks and Matt to anyone."

"I called asking for a quote on a tankless water heater for my home. Dave came over and explained what he could do for me. He was confident and professional so I decided to hire him. I had the heater installed in a few days. He cleaned up and disposed my old heater. Very happy with his work."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Address any leaks, sump pump failures, or sewer backups immediately. In Laurel, ignoring a leak in October leads to burst pipes, while a broken sump pump causes basement flooding during the spring snowmelt. Schedule minor faucet drips or cosmetic plumbing upgrades for the summer. Always prioritize water heater repairs before winter arrives, as losing hot water in MT poses a severe safety risk during sub-zero cold snaps.

Helpful?

Choose PEX piping for your water supply lines. PEX expands slightly during freezing temperatures, making it highly resistant to burst pipes in Laurel. Copper is another excellent option but requires heavy insulation in unheated spaces. Use PVC or ABS materials for interior drain lines. Always install thick pipe insulation in garages and crawl spaces to meet MT building standards and protect your plumbing from extreme winter cold.

Helpful?

Protect children and pets during plumbing updates by securing access to basements and crawl spaces, which hold standing water from spring snowmelt in Laurel. Store chemical drain treatments securely out of reach. Set your water heater to 120 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent scalding. If your home was built before 1986, test your water for lead, as older MT properties contain lead solder at copper pipe joints.

Helpful?

Leaving garden hoses connected after the first freeze causes severe damage to outdoor plumbing. Pouring cooking grease down the drain also creates massive blockages, as grease solidifies rapidly in cold Laurel crawl spaces. Relying on harsh chemical drain cleaners degrades older pipes over time. Finally, ignoring routine water heater flushing allows hard MT water to create mineral scale, which destroys fixtures and appliances prematurely.

Helpful?

Build a seasonal routine to protect your plumbing from local weather extremes. Before Laurel experiences freezing temperatures in October, winterize outdoor spigots and irrigation systems. Check sump pumps and inspect pipes for winter damage during the spring snowmelt. Inspect outdoor hose bibs for slow leaks in the summer. Finally, flush your water heater every fall to clear out mineral buildup from the hard water found in this part of MT.
