"Peter was extremely professional, prompt and true to his word regarding a competitive quote and quality workmanship. We had Peter power wash and stain our two story deck. We appreciated his input regarding the type of stain and his knowledge regarding the project. He responded quickly to our questions and kept in communication on the project and finished on time. We will definitely use Home Care Maintenance in the very near future. A big thank you to Peter!"

"They did a wonderful job and were great to work with. They replace some porch boards, painted the garage door and front door, replaced weatherstripping around garage, painted the trim around the front of the house and the windows as well as painted the porch. They had started work and had to pause because of a storm but were really prompt about rescheduling to two days later and got the job done really well. Would definitely recommend and we plan to hire them again!"

"Steve Pfeifer and his son were always on time, very professional, and super easy to work with. If we had a change mid project or a question, they were always able to accommodate. The end result is beautiful and the cost was very fair and appropriate to the work. We originally wanted pre-built cabinets next to the fireplace, but after we saw them, we asked to have them returned and Steve built us custom oak cabinets instead. Couldn't be happier."

"We hired R R to remodel a sunroom that was basically a 3 season room structure that was open to the house. The task was to create a sound, insulated dining area that looked and functioned as if it was part of the original structure. We could not be more pleased with the finished result. They are a phenomenal company to work with! Highly professional, courteous, detailed, exceptionally CLEAN and on time to work every day they were scheduled to be here. They were very easy to collaborate with during the changes that our remodel required; some due to want, some do to need for structure soundness and safety. They went above and beyond, taking my vision and making it a reality. Very communicative beginning with a thorough quote and throughout the entire process. They did their level best to not only provide a quality finished project complete with custom built ins. They kept us on budget from the original quote. Changes had to be made that included an unsafe fireplace removal that wasn't originally planned and we chose to extend our original bid by adding a dry bar and french doors. There are always surprises in a remodel, but Robin, Ryan & Shane just rolled with it. Their expertise was vital to me in making smart choices based on their experience with product and installation. Due to this experience, we look forward to having them back to address an equally ill planned patio area"

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

It is almost always more affordable to buy an existing home than to build a new one. Building a home involves numerous costs, including labor, permits, inspections, utility hookups, and brand-new materials, finishes, and appliances. Additionally, new construction loans can have higher interest rates than traditional mortgages, and property taxes on new homes are often higher, increasing long-term costs. An exception is a DIY house build, which can be cheaper than buying an existing home if you do the labor yourself. While building is generally more expensive, a new custom home offers complete control over the layout and design. Furthermore, new construction is typically worth more than a comparable pre-owned home and may provide a better return on investment if sold quickly.

Due to the expansion of the tiny house movement, you can usually find tiny houses to buy in your state. Prices range considerably based on size, style, and type. If you’re looking for a tiny home that’s move-in ready, you may be able to find a good deal to buy or a prefab dealer near you.

Your foundation contractor will first need to remove the topsoil and any vegetation within 4 feet of the area around the barn. They’ll need to ensure they have clear access to the site to begin excavation, after which they can begin construction.

The maximum size of a tiny home you can move depends on your state transportation guidelines, but the rule of thumb is a maximum of 400 square feet. However, as long as it falls within the local limits for traveling on public roadways, you should be good to hit the road.

You may need a local building permit and written permission from your homeowner’s association to install a shed, especially if you’re doing any substantial land clearing or installing electricity or plumbing. Permit requirements vary between municipalities, so research the local laws before starting your project. If you hire a contractor to build the shed, they can help determine which permits will be necessary.
