"George installed some stairs and a handrail for us to make entry from our garage in to our home. He prepared an estimate for us to explain exactly what he would be doing and what materials would be used. On the day we set for him to do the work, he came and did the work and cleaned up the area when he finished. We are very pleased with the new and safer entrance to our home. We would be pleased to recommend George if you are looking for a good handyman."

"RR did an amazing job remodeling our kitchen. The project involved removing load bearing walls, installing structural beams, new hardwood flooring, cabinets, countertops, appliances, and building a pantry. We've worked with numerous contractors over the years and Robin and Ryan were fantastic. Their estimates both of budget and timeline were accurate and reasonable. We always knew what they would be doing and when they were working. I highly recommend them and would happily hire them again."

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use a storage shed several ways, including as a chicken coop, but you'll need to make some modifications. You will have to add a chicken door, roosts, ventilation near the roof, mesh on the windows, and insulation if you live in a colder climate. Additionally, you’ll want to ensure that the shed is predator-proof so no other animals can harm your chickens. You should also add a run and nest boxes to your shed.

Whether a prefab home is worth it or not will depend on your personal needs and preferences. Overall, prefab homes tend to cost less than traditional homes, although they also tend to have lower resale values. Another thing to consider is that prefab homes usually last 50 to 60 years or longer, while traditional homes last 50 to 100 years or more.

Yes, barndominiums are energy-efficient as long as insulation professionals properly install quality insulation, windows, and doors. Utility bills for barndo living can be up to 50% lower than those for a traditional home.  Make your barndo more energy efficient by working with contractors and HVAC professionals to strategically place windows, doors, and heating/cooling systems.

The construction stage is almost always the longest part of building a house. Within this stage, framing often takes the most time, lasting anywhere from one week to a couple of months, depending on the home's size, the crew, and the time of year. Other parts of the construction phase include pouring the foundation and installing doors, windows, a roof, siding, drywall, and flooring. The planning and design phase can also be very time-consuming, sometimes taking months or even years, especially for a custom home. The final finishing process, which includes painting and installing trim, is typically shorter than the construction or planning stages.

Barns and barndominiums are most commonly painted red, like barns depicted in movies and paintings. The practice of painting barns red dates back to America’s colonial days, when new farmers would borrow the European practice of mixing linseed oil with ferrous oxide to coat the barns in order to protect them from the elements, leaving the structures with a red color.
