"Owner was responsive and professional. Crew was prompt and courteous. Truck and equipment seemed well maintained. They moved very quickly across the carpets while attempting to sell additional services. They were polite about the selling without annoying pressure. I liked everything about them except their ability to clean carpet. When they left, I put towels on the stairs. When I put my foot on the towel, grey water saturated the towel immediately. I tried other spots with the same effect. The carpet was very wet with very dirty water. It was late in the day, so I did not call them. I set box fans and a dehumidifier to dry it as quickly as possible. Within a couple of weeks I decided to replace the carpet due to the smell. I liked these guys and wanted to give a good review but can't. I selected them for their quick-dry assurance and it was the one area they failed badly. To be fair to them, I must point out that I did not call and give them a chance to resolve the problem. In my opinion, carpet cleaning is not high art or rocket science. They failed at the most basic component of the business while focusing on the periphery, so I cut my losses and moved on."

You can let the tile sit without grout. Don’t panic if there’s a delay between installing the tiles and grouting. A substantial stoppage isn't a problem, provided you keep the tile surface clear of dust and debris. Tile will almost always last longer than laminate flooring, regardless of the type of tile installed. Replacing tile flooring can take a few days for a pro, but larger rooms will need more time. It takes eight to 12 hours for a tiling pro to remove old grout and tiles across 100 square feet. Then, it will take about four hours to prep the subfloor for tiles and another eight to 10 hours for a pro to install new tiles. Your tiling project may take up to a week, depending on the size of the room.

Glazed ceramic tiles don’t need to be sealed because the glazing already offers some protection against moisture. Unglazed ceramic tiles need to be sealed to keep the porous tile safe from moisture and staining. However, both types of tile can benefit from sealing. Sealant can make the tiles easier to keep clean and offer more resistance to water, spills, and stains.

Many homeowners have successfully retiled a bathroom themselves. It can be a challenging but rewarding process, but it’s best for someone who already has at least intermediate DIY skills.
