Matt and Hard Surface Floors LLC did an oustanding job installing laminate floors in our basement. Their price was less expensive than box-store installers and Matt was able to work around his schedule to get our job completed within a week of us contacting him. Matt is also very personable and goes the extra mile to get things done the way you want it.

Matt and crew did an excellent job in our 120 yr old house. Paid attention to detail. Made installation of vinyl plank flooring appear as if it was in a new home. Would hire again.

If we could give them 10 stars we would. Very personable from the initial phone conversation to the final install. They had to undo what we had tried to do ourselves and started from scratch. They were very straightforward and kind and did not make us feel like we were totally incompetent for even trying to do it ourselves.( which we were). We had Waterproof Vinyl installed in our lower level. Lots of furniture to move including a piano and pool table. No damage to anything. They were punctual, kept to the task, pretty speedy, communicated anything needed throughout install. Polite and answered all our questions. Very accommodating and the price was very reasonable. In fact we added a bit more because we were so HAPPY. We intend on redoing our main level soon and have already gotten a bid from them and will have them in our home again! Call them and don't look any further. No, we aren't related!ð Also happy to hear Matt is a Navy Veteran! Go Navy!!!

Matt was hands on from the very first phone call. Walked me through the estimate process and worked around our schedule when the flooring was delayed at warehouse. We hired Matt and his team to replace old carpeting and vinyl tile with laminate wood flooring throughout basically the entire main floor. From scheduling to job completion, we could not be happier. Their attention to detail was what really impressed. Floor, base molding, trim work-all better than new construction! I will hire again.

This crew was just as polite as they were talented. They made sure that I was tied in on all decisions that deviated from the original plan, and they even helped reduce costs to become more competitive. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing flooring done.

Mat was great. This is a young company and might need a little work on professionalism. The crew does quality work and are willing to give a discount when you have lots of work for them to do. Overall, very happy!

Having three prior contractors say the job was too big for them (I do not understand that either), I tried Home Advisors. Mat was the only one of the three listed companies who called me. Mat did very little of the install. Most was handled by a man by the name of Mike on his staff. Mike was a hard worker and seemed to know what he was doing. I appreciated his work ethic. I have little to say about Mat and his brother (also on his staff), as they did not put in the time that Mike did. The first two days were 6.5 hour days (out of which came their lunch time). That was a big odd but as I was not paying by the hour, I was okay with it. The last two days Mike was the only person working at my house. My main issue was that on their fourth and last day of work, they really rushed to finish. Since I was leaving my house at 5 pm, I told them they would have to leave by then. They did not have to finish that day, just be gone by 5 that day. I was okay with them finishing up the next day. But Mat came over around 3 and they rushed through finishing and I did not have time to do an end-of-job quality inspection as I was leaving as they were. And I did, unfortunately find a spot that was not covered. At our initial meeting, Mat explained that I should order 10% over because you wanted to be sure you had some product leftover. However, in their last minute haste to finish before 5, and my haste to get out the door, I did not think about checking the house or garage for leftover flooring. When I realized I did not have any I sent a text to Mat and he said I did not tell him I wanted any. I replied that he said it was important to have leftovers. And certainly there had to have been a couple of planks left. He said, no there were not. Just scrap that was not any good or it was defective and it had already been dumped. (First time I heard of defective material! If that was the case, why did not he tell me that so I could have the manufacturer make good on it?) I was really surprised that after convincing me that I needed leftover material, that his response was that I did not tell him I wanted it. I never felt like he was willing to take responsibility for anything he said. He had an excuse for any issue that I raised. I WAS always misunderstanding things. He said he was charging me to dispose of everything and I never stated that I wanted it. Now it is certainly possible that we simply had a personality clash, but the fact that he kept saying I SHOULD HAVE TOLD HIM I wanted to keep some leftover material was the last straw. My belief is that they were in a hurry, threw it all in the truck, and left. I found it unprofessional and I could not recommend them.
