To replace it would have been overly expensive so he recommended replacing with a standpipe line to the floor drain. That also works great, and he also cut off and capped it. He was personality plus!  He was very friendly and put my mind at ease about the project.  I had an unorthodox configuration under my sink, but Jim was not deterred.  He worked quickly, efficiently and neatly.   Jim is not just a plumber, he is an artist.  He replaced old valves and made underneath the sink look new again.  He checked everything to make sure it worked, including the dishwasher.  He also explained the usage and care of our new items.  I've used Kirkwood Plumbing several times and would highly recommend them.  The office personnel is very efficient.
