"Leo, Mike and the crew did a great job! The crew did a very large clean up of our yard and it look wonderful. Price was high for me, but what isn't these day! They were able to accommodate an extra job of building a new landscape timber bed while they were here. I will definitely call them again for more projects!"

"The guys did a great job and worked quickly! They relaid our whole paver patio and put a better foundation under it (it was installed poorly before we built the house). I felt like they were honest, incredibly hardworking and affordable."

"Apex Concrete Solutions does foam-jacking as opposed to mud-jacking. Rich was very respectful and conscientious during every phase of the job. We had a patio and sunroom foundation that had developed a void that needed to be filled. He was quick to respond when first contacted, showed up ON TIME on the initial visit and was very communicative during the whole process. During the initial visit he was attentive and very happy to thoroughly explain the entire process. Our job had a few variables that he was able to anticipate and plan around, and he was effective in helping us to envision the different scenarios. When the work was being done the work went well, and within the parameters that we had discussed. Rich was able to take advantage of the properties of the polymer foam to do what would have been impossible with mudjacking. The work area was at the back of our property and Rick was respectful of all of the plantings as he routed his application hose to the repair site. We had other bidders who may very well have been able to do the work, but we picked Rich because of his attention to details and great attitude toward his clients."

Patios questions, answered by experts

A covered deck can be a good investment that increases your home value—especially if you live in a hot region with a lot of sun. A covering over the deck means you can get more use out of it, even on the hottest summer days. With a permanent deck covering, you can even add ceiling fans to help cool down your deck for added comfort.

The life span of your solarium will depend on the materials used and how much wear and tear the room experiences from the inside and from the outside due to weather. On average, you can expect your solarium to last anywhere from 10 years to 50 or more. In rare cases, such as with old estates, solariums can last over 100 years.

A screened-in porch can add value to your home, but it won’t count toward the total square footage at an appraisal or when it comes time to sell. A screened-in porch is not fully enclosed, usable year-round, insulated, or heated or cooled, so it doesn’t meet the requirements of livable square footage in most locations.

Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.

A Florida room doesn’t have insulation, nor is the space heated, so in most cases, the room won’t be comfortable enough to use during the winter months. A four-season room, which is like a Florida room that’s insulated, heated, and cooled, is a better option if you’re looking to enjoy your sunroom all year long.
