Johnie owns Zen and he did a great job on my house here at Lake of the Ozarks. I'm experienced at hiring contractors and can tell the good ones from bad ones right away. He's one of the best - highly skilled, dependable, honest, and more affordable than others in the lake area. My project was ambitious and involved a whole house rebuild. He transformed a humble, outdated cottage into a modern lake home. He started by remodeling the existing structure (new windows, doors, lights, flooring, kitchen cabinets, bathroom, and a screen porch to living room conversion) and then built a 600-sf master suite addition from the ground up. Johnie is skilled in almost every aspect of construction and needs very little assistance. The new home is stunning, and I couldn't be happier with it. I've also hired him on small projects involving my rental property. I heard about Zen Construction through one of my neighbors, and I'm grateful for that. I recommend him highly and without hesitation!
