Find a Custom Home Builder
My stepmother hired Jim Phillips and sons to replace the roof on her house and convert one room into a different function which required demolishing the old room completely to build the new one my stepmother desired. That was about 15 years ago. I now own the home. We have found the quality of work done by this man and his sons to be of extremely poor quality. There must have been NO building codes or inspections done at that time, because now all the sins of their poor quality, corner-cutting, work is now coming to light with a vengeance. Before I realized all this, I asked him to do some work for me. He came, looked at what I wanted, said he'd get back with an estimate, and never did. After numerous phone calls and messages left on his voicemail were unanswered, I gave up on him. Now, 3 years later, still unable to find a trustworthy builder, the room he and his sons is a disgrace to anyone who calls themselves a builder. If I could, I would sue them.
