I've been in Masonry for over a Decade, I've worked on some of the LARGEST houses in the area. I Repair Entrance monuments as well as erect new ones.I offer custom or cookie cutter (generic) brick mail boxes,Chimneys of all sizes, custom outdoor fireplaces/ fire pits that tend to be visually stunning and tailored to the surroundings to give an outdoor area the undefinable upgrade that it always does. The only thing new to me is who I'm doing it for, I owe it to myself to work for myself. Each job that I'm called upon, I am grateful for, each job well done leaves a happy home and business owner. This is a smaller operation on any given day and that grants me the ability to remain flexible in my hours. On the bigger projects, I call in the "brothers". so if your a contractor making a deadline, I can handle deadlines. This way I'm not under the pressure of keeping guys working forty hours a week. leaving me flexible enough to tackle smaller projects solo or with little help.. but I'm at my happiest when I'm able to bring a whole crew of guys out and rock n roll. Derousse bros.

"Joe Lane, alias Joe James did landscaping last year. All initially went well. He and his crew removed bushes, installed rock and milch, power washed the driveway and removed junk from my garage. He gained my confidence in his honesty and swore that he had never cheated a customer. I advanced a $1,000 payment for topsoil and grass seed and he has never returned. Since July of last year all I have received from him are excuses and promises. Hr also promised to replace the bushes , most of which died. I requested he refund my money and he has not responded. BEWARE!! Don’t trust him."

Pavers and Hardscaping questions, answered by experts

Adhere pavers to concrete with either mortar or a concrete-specific adhesive. In most cases, you will also need to lay a permeable sand layer below the pavers to encourage proper stability and drainage in your transformed patio, porch, or driveway. To lay pavers like a pro, always make sure you take the proper preparatory steps before adhering them directly to the concrete.

Yes, you should lightly wet the sand with a hose before laying the pavers on top. This activates the bonding agents in the sand, ensuring that your pavers don’t shift around during the installation process. However, you should make sure that the sand is not soaked; overwatering can cause the sand and pavers to not set properly.

Professional installers often include a deep layer of crushed gravel under permeable pavers to allow more runoff to soak through into the soil below. Many installations will include multiple layers of gravel, with coarser aggregate at the base and finer aggregate that sits on top of that bottom layer. Above the gravel, you’ll often find coarse sand that helps reduce paver shifting over time. Some permeable paver designs include a water collection system set into the gravel layer to route runoff to a safe area for disposal.

Not typically. A paver patio drainage problem generally requires a landscaping fix that can include a drainage pipe or dry well capable of handling the amount of runoff in your yard.

You’ll first need to install a base underneath your pavers for extra stability and drainage. Otherwise, the pavers can sink into the ground, and you’ll have to reinstall them. Use a base gravel layer of 4 to 6 inches for walkways and 10 to 12 inches for driveways. Compact your gravel layer every 2 to 4 inches so it’s nice and solid. After you install your gravel base, apply a 1-inch layer of sand on top.
