I've been in Masonry for over a Decade, I've worked on some of the LARGEST houses in the area. I Repair Entrance monuments as well as erect new ones.I offer custom or cookie cutter (generic) brick mail boxes,Chimneys of all sizes, custom outdoor fireplaces/ fire pits that tend to be visually stunning and tailored to the surroundings to give an outdoor area the undefinable upgrade that it always does. The only thing new to me is who I'm doing it for, I owe it to myself to work for myself. Each job that I'm called upon, I am grateful for, each job well done leaves a happy home and business owner. This is a smaller operation on any given day and that grants me the ability to remain flexible in my hours. On the bigger projects, I call in the "brothers". so if your a contractor making a deadline, I can handle deadlines. This way I'm not under the pressure of keeping guys working forty hours a week. leaving me flexible enough to tackle smaller projects solo or with little help.. but I'm at my happiest when I'm able to bring a whole crew of guys out and rock n roll. Pavers and Hardscaping questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can retrofit an existing driveway, but this usually involves cutting grooves into the driveway, installing the heating elements, then sealing them. While this is much less expensive than typical heated driveway systems, the final appearance could be diminished. Speak with a driveway paving company to confirm which design method is best for you.

The best tool to cut pavers is a hammer and chisel. These tools are best for inexperienced DIYers, as they're affordable and don't require special skills. If you're comfortable using power tools, an angle grinder or a circular saw with a masonry cutting wheel will make quick work of your paver cutting project.

Pavers should be resealed at least once every three to five years. Pavers that are exposed to excessive foot traffic, wear and tear, or volatile weather may benefit from being resealed more frequently. Consider resealing pavers whenever you notice stains or discoloration beginning to form.

The best material to put between pavers is polymeric sand. This sand contains silica and quartz, making it more durable than coarse or regular sand. It hardens after installation, so your pavers stay in place. Best of all, polymeric sand prevents weed growth in the gaps between pavers. You’ll have less maintenance to deal with once spring rolls around.

If you're designing a new patio in an area with poor drainage, permeable pavers made from porous materials may help prevent water issues. Most permeable pavers feature a gravel-only aggregate base instead of a concrete base to allow water to flow through instead of getting trapped. While beneficial in some cases, permeable pavers come with higher initial costs and greater load-bearing limitations compared to traditional pavers.
