"This crew was excellent. They handled installing three toilets and a variety of different tiles that we picked out, thin, thick, small, big. The grout colors matched perfectly and we couldn't be happier with how the bathrooms look."

"I hired Bath Pro KC to replumb for a master bath remodel. Upon opening the floor, it was discovered the main sewer drain lines were improperly installed when the house was built 40 years ago. Keith at Bath Pro stayed into the evening and worked until the problem was fixed so the family could use the restroom facilities. Price for the additional work was very reasonable. Service was exceptional. A real pleasure to work with."

"Arrived on time and set-up quickly. Very professional in every respect. Opened drains and ensured they were running clear. Found minor plumbing issue and corrected without charge after asking permission. Price very reasonable. We used them once before at another family residence which led to using them again this time. From now on, they are our on our select list of favored service companies."

"Service technician Kyle was amazing, very friendly, professional,he assessed the problems, advised what the cost could be and went to work. The main problem was more than at first anticipated, but worked new figures, helped to give me best possible cost. Work was completed in a timely manner and I could not be happier. Recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber, they will be the only plumbing company I call. Best customer service from the first phone call,to when the job was completed."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Polyvinyl chloride, or PVC, pipes are considered one of the best pipe types for drains and vent lines due to their low price point, lightweight material, corrosion resistance, and installation ease. But copper has long been considered the best piping option due to its durability. For many homeowners, though, the price of copper can be cost-prohibitive.

At most, polybutylene pipes last 10 to 15 years. The material is simply not durable enough to withstand some of the chemical elements found in our water supply, such as fluoride and chlorine. These pipes tend to deteriorate quickly and lead to leaks or even pipe bursts. If your home still has polybutylene pipes, we recommend replacing them as soon as possible to prevent major water damage in your home.

In most areas, drain cleaning professionals don’t technically need a license, as they aren’t altering your plumbing system in any way. However, we recommend hiring a drain cleaning professional with a plumbing license and certification. Certified plumbers are more likely to provide professional solutions to drain clogs without damaging your system. They’ll also have the diagnostic tools and experience necessary to remove the clog entirely rather than providing a temporary solution, as a handyperson might. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to check your plumber’s professional licenses before hiring.

You can buy pipe insulation materials in your local hardware store or in major home improvement stores. You can also shop for insulation online, where you may be able to more easily buy in bulk. When shopping, make sure you know your pipe's dimensions so you can buy the correct size of pipe insulation materials for your pipes.

If you’ve accessed the bolts and nuts that hold your toilet seat in place and can’t unscrew them, it’s possible that they were overtightened or that the material corroded over time, making it impossible to unscrew. If that’s the case, you can either call in a plumber for help, or you can DIY a solution if you’re careful. Lay down masking tape around the mounting bracket and then use the tape as a surface to lay a hack saw blade. Move slowly to cut through the bracket and bolt, being careful not to damage the porcelain in the process.
