"As part of our replacing carpet with LVP flooring, we had to reconfigure a handrail with spindles. The spindles had to be removed from the underlayment, a plate needed to be installed, and the spindles needed to be reinstalled. There was some trim work which was needed on the stairwell side of the handrail as well. The really hard part was that it had to be done with very little lead time. Aaron and Bonnie came and reviewed the project with us, talked about our options, worked up a very acceptable quote, and gave us a date for their work. The whole project took them less than a day and was done to perfection. (We were uncertain at the time as to how we would finish the wood, so that was not included in their scope of work.) Their work was precise, on time, and affordable. Watching them work together was a fun side-benefit. Good people. We would highly recommend Aaron Custom Carpentry for projects such as ours. "I hired Josh after interviewing 4 companies to sand down my entire deck and use a stripper, power wash off the stripper and apply 2 coats of stain/sealer. He was not the cheapest bid by far but I could tell he was the best one for the job because I wanted top quality work. You would be hard pressed now days to find someone who takes so much pride in their work to where I would almost call him a perfectionist! He also fixed a number of problem areas I had on my deck and made it look better & in one case more sturdy. Also added a hand rail and touched up a spiral staircase. I wish I had before and after pictures to attach because the difference is amazing. He also spent a lot of time staining a variety of colors across my deck so we could make the right color choice. The final choice was completely different than I originally planned. He then had to sand off all the colors he put out there before finishing. I also had him clean & seal my driveway/patio. He did a fantastic job on both."

"I hired this company to do deck repair not knowing whether it could be repaired or needed to be totally replaced. Nick and Joseph did an amazing job in blistering heat. Both very personable and willing to answer all my questions. The owner, Mark Kowertz, was very professional and gave me options/suggestions regarding condition of my deck and what could be saved and what needed to be replaced. Very reasonable in pricing. "I'll start out by saying that I thought being a veteran owned company they would be OK. I chose them because I was looking for a company that would be able to do other jobs around the house. I think their price was a little high, but I am not able to do these kinds of projects anymore, so I chose them. I should have looked up the prices for all the parts they purchased, but I didn't until after the fact, because I don't believe the amount they charged for the items equals the amount they charged. The manager of the company is very nice and I believe he knows what he is doing. The person who came out to do the projects was nice and was very friendly with my father, who has dementia. The person who came out put on new weather seal on the bottom of the garage door, lubed the rollers and the chain, and put some more weather seal around the door frame of the door in the garage. He did inform me that there was wood rot on the door, so we are going to have to get a new door someday. I felt sorry for him doing it on a cold day. He replaced a burnt-out electric outlet in my father's room. I thought that he was going to turn off the breaker for that, but he didn't, and when he removed the burnt-out outlet, it actually started on fire which he put out by blowing on it. Now, I am a little leery of the circuit, so I am going to have an electrician come to check it. He also replaced a part in the shower that holds the hand-held shower head. It worked fine for a day. I contacted the company, and they had the person come back out. He showed up that day to look at the problem. He fooled around with it but couldn't make it stop leaking. I thought he said that he was going to go get something else and come back, but he never did. I was under the impression that he was going to replace the shower arm and the handheld shower because that's what the parts list said. I would like to give the company a 3.5 to 4. I don't believe I will use them again. I think I am going to be better off just calling whatever kind of company I need to fix something."
