"Hyperion glass is a top notch professional glass company. My wife and I hired them to build a custom glass shower door, and install it in our master bathroom. The project from start to finish has been the best experience I have had with any contractor or construction company I've worked with in the last decade. They had great communication throughout the process, and stick to their timelines and deadlines. Paul is incredibly professional and nice. He went the extra mile on this project and worked a 12 hour day to get it done. His attention to detail really shows in the final product, and I feel very lucky that I found these guys to work on my home. I will not hesitate to use them for any future projects I have on this home or any of my future properties. Thanks again Paul and team, you guys are phenomenal!"

"It was great. They came out, they showed us all different kinds, and we picked out what we wanted. They came back out within two weeks. They make the windows themselves so that you don't have to go to a separate factory. It was a very nice experience. They took out literally a wall in my living room for the bay window. They had them installed. They took out the sliding glass door in my kitchen which had to be special ordered because it was originally a french door that was converted into a sliding door. They did both of them in the same day and quickly. It didn't even take the whole day. They showed up promptly and got to work right away. They were done before 2 in the afternoon. That's not even that generous on the time. They were just bam, bam, bam. I would recommend them to anybody."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Start by attaching the mirror to a wall stud if possible. Next, use appropriate hardware for the mirror's size and the wall material. That could look like drywall anchors, toggle bolts, or self-drilling anchors to ensure a strong hold. Additionally, D-rings or hanging brackets are more secure than a nail. You can also use mirror adhesive to secure small or larger mirrors with a vanity as a base.

If you decide to forgo your old windows and upgrade them to modern day technology, there may be some people interested in the old windows. You can try selling them on an online marketplace for around $50 to $100 each (so long as the window wasn’t damaged during the removal). This can also help off set the overall price to replace them.

Storm door panels are typically made from tempered or laminated glass, and each type has its benefits. Tempered glass goes through a special heating and cooling process, increasing its strength and durability. It’s known for its safety features—when it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces rather than sharp shards. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic between two layers of glass. This interlayer holds the glass pieces together even when shattered, preventing them from scattering.

The best way to pack mirrors is to use specially padded cartons or boxes made for mirrors. Be sure to thoroughly wrap the fragile mirror in padded paper or bubble wrap before sliding it into its box. That way, there’s a protective barrier in between the mirror and the box. Then, fill in any gaps with crumpled paper or additional packing materials.

Generally, large bathroom mirrors that have been secured to the wall with glue require a multistep removal process. By taping the mirror with masking tape or duct tape, you can potentially prevent dangerous shards from falling as you loosen the mirror. A heat gun or other heat source may be needed to loosen up the glue before it can be freed using a wire saw. With glued-down mirrors being the most dangerous to remove, it's wise to hire a professional instead of handling glass on your own.
