"The work performed was excellent. From the bidding process all the way through the project completion, White Dog exhibited nothing but professionalism along the way. While the price was a bit more than I expected, I have no complaints about the work. They did very thorough power washing, scraping, caulking, priming and carpentry repair. James is an excellent carpenter and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with the work. The job took about 6 days and every day the job site was cleaned up."

"Richard and his crew were great. The carefully removed the single piece of siding without breaking the piece above or below. When it was all done he dried in the area around the window. I love his work so much, I have hired him again to dry in the rest of the house and paint."

"Our house was built in 1998 and came with Alenco builder grade windows with only a 10 year warranty. Most of them have gone bad since then so buyer beware on that brand. Kyle was great to work with, quick to respond and did great work on the final install. Our house now has clear windows and I am sure they will work out great.

"I had gutter failure from huge storm in KC area last weekend, which caused water to pool in front of a basement window well and led to my basement flooding. I tried calling many other gutter companies, but they all were 2-3 weeks or 2-3 months booked out. the owner of 5 Star construction came out to give a bid, and immediately said that he would take one of is crews off another project to immediately address put up the new gutters so as to avoid further flooding into my basement. He said my situation was way more urgent than his other customers. He had a crew out the very next day to put up the new 6" gutters with splash guards, and addressing some of the other minor siding repairs."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

The time and number of treatments required to get rid of roaches depend on several factors, including the type of roach, the severity of the infestation, and the extermination method. For small infestations, a single treatment may be sufficient, with results seen in as little as 1 to 3 days. Larger or more severe infestations will require several treatments. It typically takes around 2 to 8 weeks to completely eliminate roaches in most cases, but severe infestations can take up to 6 months to fully resolve.

The full process of using a rat exterminator can take several weeks. If you have a larger infestation, the exterminator may need to return several times to collect rats. The timeline of your rat eradication depends on the infestation size and type of treatment, so consult a rat exterminator to get an accurate estimate for your specific issue.

You’re not likely to find water bugs in your house. They may accidentally come in an open door when flying, especially since they are attracted to lights. But water bugs tend to stay stationary in bodies of water. You’re much more likely to see a roach in your home, not a water bug.

You should never block both the top and bottom of your chimney. Proper airflow is essential because the temperature inside the chimney will still fluctuate as your house warms and cools. Moisture can build up without ventilation, leading to dampness in your walls over time. Blocking the top prevents debris and animals from entering, but the chimney still needs air circulation to avoid condensation issues. Allowing the chimney to breathe maintains the health of your home and prevents long-term damage.

Water bugs won’t actively chase you, but they earned the nickname “toe-biters” for good reason. Water bugs are highly defensive. They typically rest an inch or so below water, waiting for prey. But if they feel threatened by a human that gets close, they may inject the person with a harmless venom from their legs, which may feel like a bite.
