Knight Heating and air Conditioning is a 30 year old family owned business. We can do any installation from a residential system to a complex commercial variable volume duct system with any size of mechanical equipment. Check out our Nixa, Ozark and Branson locations the next time you need a new system or service. All of our service trucks recieve their calls and invoice by I-pad. Additional DBA - Knight Heating Inc. Award winning. EMERGENCY SERVICE AVAILABLE: Please contact our office at 417-725-2512 and select option 2 for an emergency technician available 24/7/365

"We were long-time customers of Knight having been Royal Maintenance Program subscribers for several years with our 14 year old, high efficiency furnace. From time to time they have said we needed repairs, some expensive. We paid the bills thinking the costs were legitimate. At the most recent visit (October 2020) one of their technicians came for a regular maintenance visit and said he had discovered a carbon monoxide leak and had to shut our H/Vac system down for safety reasons. He advised that our furnace was so old (14 years) that tracking down the leak would be very expensive and subsequent repairs would cost nearly as much as a new system. He recommended (several times) that their sales office contact us for a bid on a replacement furnace. I was suspicious and called another respected company in Springfield. After a lengthy inspection they said there was a small, intermittent carbon monoxide detection that seemed to be coming from an exhaust pipe with a comprised seal but they couldn't be certain that the heat exchanger wasn't leaking as well. Since that would require removing and replacing the exchanger they checked with the manufacturer and found that it had a lifetime warranty. This meant we could get a brand new exchanger for the price of the labor to install it. Final result was that it ended up costing us a few hundred dollars instead of many thousands that we would have spent on a new system if we had followed the tech's advice. This experience has made me question every service Knight ever performed for us and in the future we will be doing business elsewhere."

Justin Bunch was amazing to work with! Very timely with his responses, respectful and informative. Archie and his crew were awesome too! Answered all my questions, showed up on time and did a very professional job. They were great to clean up everything and even used large magnets throughout the yard and drive to make sure nothing was left behind. We couldn’t be happier with our new roof. "A to Z came in and ran gas lines for my gas range (convert from electric). Very happy with scheduling, time the project took, and professionalism of plumber! A to Z also converted our wood burning fireplace into an infrared electric fireplace and custom built trim to hold the new fireplace in the opening. My husband and I are elderly and the wood fireplace was of no use to us due to the physical aspects of carrying wood and cleaning ash. The electric fireplace is the perfect solution to add warmth while keeping the utility bills low! We have had several home items addressed (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, handyman tasks) by this company and would highly recommend them for all your home needs!"

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Hanging a thick blanket over your windows will help to keep the heat inside, but only a little. Covering the glass will also prevent the sunlight from getting in, which might actually decrease the efficiency of your window overall. If you get to the point where you’re hanging blankets over your window to keep warm, call in an expert to seal around your windows to prevent warm air from escaping. They may also recommend replacing old windows that aren’t as insulative as newer window technology. Sealing a window isn’t terribly expensive and can make a big difference.

Although it’s not required, air ventilation in a finished basement can help improve the air quality, prevent moisture and mold issues, keep musty odors away, and also maintain the air quality throughout the rest of your home. Proper ventilation will help maintain the value of your investment in finishing your basement. Try basement ventilation methods like installing vents or a dehumidifier for best results.

A radiant barrier is worth the money if you live in a hot, sunny climate. Over time, you should be able to recoup your investment through lower energy bills. Though it can vary depending on where you live and the type of barrier you choose, you might be able to reduce your electric bill by as much as 5% to 10% after installing a radiant barrier.

An outdoor spigot needs some attention before the temperatures begin to drop. Using an insulative cover is just one part of minimizing a frozen spigot and pipes. You’ll also need to shut off the water and drain the spigot, which leaves as little water as possible in the pipes to prevent freezing.

Yes, you can install insulation over ductwork, and doing so can save you money. Without insulation, the HVAC unit must work harder to force warm or cool air around the home, and once the air reaches the vent, it may not be the correct temperature. Insulating HVAC ducts makes your system work more efficiently, saving you money on heating and cooling bills.
