Knight Heating and air Conditioning is a 30 year old family owned business. We can do any installation from a residential system to a complex commercial variable volume duct system with any size of mechanical equipment. Check out our Nixa, Ozark and Branson locations the next time you need a new system or service. All of our service trucks recieve their calls and invoice by I-pad. Additional DBA - Knight Heating Inc. Award winning. EMERGENCY SERVICE AVAILABLE: Please contact our office at 417-725-2512 and select option 2 for an emergency technician available 24/7/365

"We were long-time customers of Knight having been Royal Maintenance Program subscribers for several years with our 14 year old, high efficiency furnace. From time to time they have said we needed repairs, some expensive. We paid the bills thinking the costs were legitimate. At the most recent visit (October 2020) one of their technicians came for a regular maintenance visit and said he had discovered a carbon monoxide leak and had to shut our H/Vac system down for safety reasons. He advised that our furnace was so old (14 years) that tracking down the leak would be very expensive and subsequent repairs would cost nearly as much as a new system. He recommended (several times) that their sales office contact us for a bid on a replacement furnace. I was suspicious and called another respected company in Springfield. After a lengthy inspection they said there was a small, intermittent carbon monoxide detection that seemed to be coming from an exhaust pipe with a comprised seal but they couldn't be certain that the heat exchanger wasn't leaking as well. Since that would require removing and replacing the exchanger they checked with the manufacturer and found that it had a lifetime warranty. This meant we could get a brand new exchanger for the price of the labor to install it. Final result was that it ended up costing us a few hundred dollars instead of many thousands that we would have spent on a new system if we had followed the tech's advice. This experience has made me question every service Knight ever performed for us and in the future we will be doing business elsewhere."

Justin Bunch was amazing to work with! Very timely with his responses, respectful and informative. Archie and his crew were awesome too! Answered all my questions, showed up on time and did a very professional job. They were great to clean up everything and even used large magnets throughout the yard and drive to make sure nothing was left behind. We couldn’t be happier with our new roof. A to Z Services of Springfield, MO is an A+ ,5 Star rated company which is Veteran owned and operated--serving the Ozarks since 1979. We offer installation and service on all makes and models of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC equipment. As well as complete maintenance, repair, and installation services for home or commercial settings. Let us provide you with exceptional workmanship at a reasonable rate.

"A to Z came in and ran gas lines for my gas range (convert from electric). Very happy with scheduling, time the project took, and professionalism of plumber! A to Z also converted our wood burning fireplace into an infrared electric fireplace and custom built trim to hold the new fireplace in the opening. My husband and I are elderly and the wood fireplace was of no use to us due to the physical aspects of carrying wood and cleaning ash. The electric fireplace is the perfect solution to add warmth while keeping the utility bills low! We have had several home items addressed (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, handyman tasks) by this company and would highly recommend them for all your home needs!"

FAQs for insulation service projects in Verona, MO

When choosing a professional insulation installer, consider asking these questions to determine the best fit.

  • Will you address air leaks in my house?

  • Can you provide an R-value (heat resistance) fact sheet?

  • What kind of insulation will work best for my home?

  • How do you handle signs of a water leak?

  • Are you licensed and insured?

  • Can you provide customer references?

The best type of insulation for your home depends on what you need, so the answer will depend on your specific situation. If you’re building a house, structural panels are easy to install during the building process in addition to being the most energy efficient type. If you live in a warm climate, reflective insulation may benefit you more as it costs less than other insulation types. And for standard attics, loose-fill, spray foam, or blown-in insulation work well.

If you plan to heat or cool your garage, you’ll need to insulate the garage ceiling. Insulating your garage ceiling will make your garage much more energy efficient and save on heating and cooling costs. Not only does insulation make your garage more energy efficient, it helps reduce noise and can extend the life of your garage roof. You can use fiberglass, cellulose, mineral wool, or spray foam insulation for this project.

In some cases, you may not have enough insulation to properly regulate your home’s temperature. Watch for a few signs your home needs more insulation, such as:

  • High heating and cooling bills

  • Uncomfortable room temperatures

  • Ice dams on the edge of your roof

  • Roof leaks

  • Cold floors and walls

  • Freezing pipes

  • Temperature fluctuations

  • Visibly low insulation

  • Noise problems

  • Pest problems

On average, insulating an attic costs about $2,500, ranging from $1,500 to $3,500, depending on the insulation type, amount, and your attic’s accessibility. Additional cost factors include sealing air leaks, removal or replacement of insulation, and inspections. Types of insulation include:

  • Blown-in: $1–$4 per square foot

  • Spray foam: $2–$5 per square foot

  • Batt: $2–$4 per square foot

  • Structural insulated panels: $4–$7 per square foot

  • Loose-fill: $2–$5 per square foot

  • Reflective: $0.50–$1.50 per square foot
