They currently maintain offices in Kansas City, Moberly, Springfield, and St Louis. "As far as we can tell, the work was effective at stabilizing our foundation, and the on-site crew led by Luke was great, informing us of their progress along the way. However, we expressed in advance our concern about protecting some of our landscaping. We were assured the crew would have boards to cover landscaping on which removed dirt would be piled. This turned out not to be the case. I’ve had quite a bit of expense and labor to restore landscaping that was damaged during the work. This damage could have been avoided. Foundation Recovery sends out $500 coupons to advertise for their work. My attempts to contact Joe and FRS to honor even a part of the $500 coupon to help defray my landscaping costs have gone unanswered. Our salesperson, Joe, was not present during the work and has not been responsive to our followup inquiries. We are very disappointed in the poor customer service from Foundation and its representatives. I cannot recommend this company based on their failure to address our up-front concerns, lack of response to our followup requests, and the false advertising that is associated with the coupons."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Water lines are buried at various depths, depending on the type of line. For example, most sprinkler lines are buried between four and 12 inches underground. On the other hand, water mains usually sit between one and 3 feet below ground. However, they can go even deeper in cold climates to prevent freezing.

No, vinegar won't hurt PVC pipes. While vinegar is acidic, it’s not caustic enough to damage PVC. Pouring baking soda and vinegar down your drains is a great DIY solution for clearing minor clogs. If the problem isn’t resolved with vinegar and baking soda, it’s likely time to call in a pro. Avoid using more caustic solutions like drain cleaners, as these will damage PVC pipes, especially if there’s a clog.

There are quite a few telltale signs that you've got a leak. The most obvious ones are that water is pooling in parts of your home where it shouldn't, and the water bill is higher than normal. If you frequently hear unusual whistling noises coming from the pipes or experience a drop in water pressure, these are also signs the hose pipe burst.

While not every state requires that plumbing work be done by a licensed plumber, it’s in your best interest to find a local, knowledgeable plumber to handle your mobile home’s plumbing. Plumbing is a very complicated process, and making a mistake could cause big trouble down the line—small leaks can quickly grow into large leaks and cause massive (and costly) water damage issues.

Yes, if you live in a climate with extended periods of frost or snow, it’s best to winterize the sink and avoid potential bursting. Similar to winterizing a garden hose, turn off your water from the source. Once turned off, open the faucet so the remaining water completely drains out. You can also pour a small amount of antifreeze down the sink drain so any trapped water won’t freeze.
