"Charlie showed up in a timely manner to inspect chimney cap. Upon inspection it was determined to be in good shape. It just didn’t look like it was. After painting instead of replacing, it looked new. Looks great and saved me money. Honestl and affordable. Highly recommend!"

"Chrun’s Chimney Sweep and Tuckpointing provided a reasonable estimate for replacement of my home’s chimney system chase cover and storm collar. Brian was very knowledgeable and punctual regarding the installation. I would use Chrun’s services in the future again if needed."

"Ferguson is the BEST! I would definitely use them again. My first experience with them was when they did a roof repair for me. The second time was to replace my entire roof due to age. The third time was to replace the entire roof after hail damage. They are reasonable, knowledgeable, prompt, professional and so nice to work with! You can't go wrong with Ferguson Roofing!"

"Great! Jon-Paul and Brian were great to work with. They were extremely knowledgeable regarding hail damage and insurance claims. Both were very helpful with this process. The workers were very hard working young men. Very polite and professional. Before they started tearing the roof off, they covered both decks to protect our patio furniture. After the job was completed, they cleaned up everything. Looked awesome! My husband was also very happy with the job they did with the flashing around the fire place. I would recommend to anyone needing a new roof. Thank you so much for a job well done!"

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.

Yes, with features like LED lighting and variable speed controls for efficiency.

Typically 1-2 hours, factoring in ductwork and electrical connections.

Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.

Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.

You should contact a local range hood installation professional to install your range hood and do the ductwork. Prices range from $50 to $100 per hour, with the total number of hours required varying based on the project complexity. Simple installations might take an hour or two, while more complicated ones can take four hours or more.
