"Charlie showed up in a timely manner to inspect chimney cap. Upon inspection it was determined to be in good shape. It just didn’t look like it was. After painting instead of replacing, it looked new. Looks great and saved me money. Honestl and affordable. Highly recommend!"

"Arrived on time and did a thorough cleaning and inspection of the chimney.  We decided to go forward with the recommended chimney cap and interior tuckpointing.  These services were completed promptly (as soon as the ordered part came in).   Very friendly, courteous, and cleaned up thoroughly after the work was completed.

"We contracted in April 2015.  Due to frequent rains, it was impractical to perform the tasks at that time.  Finally, in July a spate of 'dry' weather afforded him the opportunity to perform these tasks.  He was fast, efficient, and if other knowledgeable contractors are an indication; compliments were for the excellence of his work!  We had a number of others working on our house at the time, many commenting on the tuck pointing.

"I can't praise this company enough!  We are selling our older home, and needed to have the brickwork on 2 chimney flus addressed (they were crumbling) prior to a new roof being installed.  The company spoke with the roofer, and understand the timing issue, had our work done in a week.  They did a really, really nice job -- we are so pleased.  Fully cleaned up dirt, etc. on our driveway and our neighbor's driveway prior to leaving.

"Alliance contracting was extremly flexible on price and timeframe. They made every attempt to accomodate our schedule and budget and the work was done ahead of schedule. Work was completed as negotiated and the roof looks great. I was impressed by the detail they showed when the job was completed and they all did a walkthrough of the yard to ensure there were no stray nails or debris that could harm our pets. Great experience overall."

"I had some loose metal that was very dangerous if it had broken off. Mr Freeman was near by and was able to come reattach the metal. It was really cold but that didn't stop him from reattaching the loose portions. I was really grateful for the emergency work."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

No, you can’t install just any microwave over your range. You have to get a specific type of microwave known as an over-the-range unit. These include venting and lighting features that you’ll need above your stovetop.

Although countertop units are more affordable, they won’t work for this type of installation. To avoid hazardous conditions in your kitchen, buy the right type of microwave for your needs.

By positioning ductwork for optimal airflow and reducing potential leaks.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.

Ensures safe electrical connections and proper venting, improving kitchen air quality.

If a range hood has minor issues, the average repair costs $85 to $210. This accounts for both parts and labor. More extensive damage can cost as much as $300 to $500, at which point it may be worth considering completely replacing the range hood.
