"I sent a request quote to Safe Streets and my phone was ringing within 1 minute. Impressed with the quick responsiveness. They are partnered with ADT which made our choice to get our alarm system through them a no brainer."

"When our new dishwasher was delivered, the plumber informed us that our electric wasn't up to code so he couldn't install. Desperate for an electrician, we called Streib and they had someone to us within the hour. Carson was professional and wore a mask the whole time. We will definitely use again."

"Got tired of the buffering and low battery life with our Ring cameras. Have replaced them all with ADT cameras and the traditional ADT perimeter alarm system. So far – awesome! Should have done this much much sooner. Still figuring out all of the functions and capabilities with the ADT cameras but a massive upgrade."

"Overall, I was very happy with my service. All the work was done well and in a reasonable amount of time. The handyman was very nice and accommodating to my requests. He was upfront about needing some extra time beyond the deal amount, but then he surveyed the tasks quickly, got all necessary materials and made good time getting through my list. He found a solution to problem with fitting a trim kit onto my cabinet, rather than telling me all the reasons why it wouldn't work. I was able to communicate with the owner through email, which is great since I am usually in meetings all day and not able to talk on the phone, so I generally don't take phone calls. Also, I was allowed to pay for the extra time and materials by credit card. It amazes me, in 2015, how many service providers in the St. Louis area don't accept credit cards (not an issue in East Coast cities). It was an additional 3% charge to use a card, however the convenience and earned miles make it worth it.
I have 1 minor complaint. This provider usually starts at 7am and I told him a 7am start time was too early for me. I requested a later time and was offered 7:30, which wasn't much better, but I will take 30 minutes extra of sleep. Unfortunately, I didn't get it. My doorbell rang promptly at 7 getting me out of bed. I was not prepared (or dressed)....evidently the handyman was not told about the later start time. I would suggest they be more flexible with customer's schedules/needs.
I would use them again. I have a couple larger projects in my home and they will be on my list to provide a bid. I have also provided their information to a colleague who needed a handyman who can do quality work.

Cost factors that determine your system’s price include the type of security system, materials, labor, activation fees, monthly fees, and permits. Additional features and upgrades may include:
Video surveillance monitoring: $40–$65 per month

Smart home lighting: $15–$90
Smart smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide alarms: $35–$100

It’s important to ask an electrician a few questions before you commit to hiring them so you can make an informed decision as a consumer. If you’re getting estimates or considering hiring an electrician, ask them these questions:
Are you a full-time electrician?
Are you bonded, licensed, and insured?
What level of experience do you have as an electrician?
Can you please share three references?
Do you do residential or commercial electrical work?
What kinds of electrical work are you most familiar with?
Will any subcontractors be performing the work?
Are permits and inspections required?
Who is responsible for obtaining permits and inspections?
What is your schedule?
Do you offer a guarantee or warranty on your work?
Will you sign a do-not-exceed clause to keep the job within the budget?
Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.
Yes, a home security system can be worth it for your peace of mind alone, but it can also save you up to 20% on your home insurance. The insurance savings will help defray the initial setup costs and subscription costs over time. Locations with higher crime rates also make home security systems a valuable investment, but it ultimately depends on your personal preferences and asset values.
Qualified, licensed electricians will charge from $50 to $100 per hour. The cost to hire an electrician for emergency visits may range from $100 to $200 per hour because this urgent service usually takes place during off hours and may require an electrician to leave or reschedule jobs they’re currently working on. Scheduling work on holidays or during periods of high customer demand, like after a major storm, will also lead to higher rates or extra fees.
