My aged mahogany Duncan Phyfe style table had a broken leg and I was desperate to get it fixed before a crowd descended upon me for a holiday meal. Another vendor kept promising to come but never showed up. Zollinger's said they would come and showed up right on time. They fixed the broken leg so well I could hardly tell which leg had been broken. They re-glued the other legs to make the table more stable. They found toe caps in North Carolina and had them shipped to their shop in Missouri and replaced the missing caps. My table looked so beautiful when Zollinger's returned it to me one day early that I had tears of joy in my eyes when they carefully placed it back in my dining room. Zollinger's are true professionals. I will definitely use them again.

Two very nice and polite men picked up furniture and took it for repair. The couch is 20 years old and the springs were worn out. The rattan chain in 34 years old had a broken frame. When the furniture was returned within a week the repairs were complete However you could not tell they had even been opened up for repair. We have used Zollinger Furniture for repairs and refinishing in the past and will again in the future. We feel fortunate that there is still a fine furniture repair company in our community. John was very helpful.

The work took longer than they anticipated - but so did our kitchen renovation so we told them not to hurry! We are happy with the work on the chairs. We are a little disappointed in the table - it is still not as stable and level with the leaves added as we would like, but that may have more to do with the age than the repairs they did. They were extremely pleasant to work with. Not many people do this kind of work anymore and we felt fortunate that we kept seeing their ads in the paper and called them.

They did a very professional job. They returned the table when they said they would.

All business events were prompt, friendly, and professional - the initial in-home visit for an estimate, pickup, and delivery. Work was estimated at one to two weeks and was done in a week. The table was returned to like-new appearance.

This company is a perfectionist’s nightmare, yes indeed a nightmare! Not because they fail to meet the irrationally high standards of the perfectionist but because they do which drives these folks batty! Look as hard and long as I could, I found nothing, absolutely nothing, to complain about!
Zollinger’s did two restorations for me. The first, done some years ago was of an antique chest of drawers which showed minimal wear, the second of a large antique wardrobe from the late 1800s that I first saw in my 20s in my grandmother’s living quarters in Germany. It was shipped over here upon her death and remained in storage for some 30 years until I remembered it. Zollinger’s reassembled it and presented it to me. It showed significant wear and damage in many areas, most notably buckled, scratched, discolored or missing veneers. When Zollinger’s called me in to inspect their restoration, I was shocked! Like the antique chest, it looked like it was brand new! Some 150 years of aging had magically disappeared. Not only did they restore the outward appearance to glowing perfection, they reglued the crown molding, rebuilt drawers and their supports, added missing shelving, reset the wooden feet, and rekeyed the lock, also to p-e-r-f-e-c-t-i-o-n.
In this day and age of sloppy, substandard and outright incompetent workmanship, Zollinger’s has managed to duplicate Old World craftmanship. And they kept exactly to the initial estimate which appeared quite reasonable, considering that they surely must have flown a couple of old cabinet makers over from Austria to work on the project. (I gave the PRICE category an A rating despite the apparent high cost of the restoration not because I carefully researched other estimates - I couldn't find anything - but because the number of hours and number of workmen involved appeared to justify it.)
Looking at this piece every day warms my heart as it transports me back to my grandmother’s apartment - where I wish I could show it to her to make her jealous! My only frustration in this matter is that there's no A+ category to rate Zollinger's.

Zollinger Furniture have been around for about two generations. They are absolutely artists and professionals in their work. Even some of the best custom decorators in the city use them. I would give them an "A" on everything.
