Thomas and Dustins Asphalt

Great. They addressed all our concerns about grading water away from the house. After multiple rains the grading has worked perfectly. Paid particular attention to creating clean and straight demarcation lines where asphalt met grass, essentially expanding width of the driveway 6 inches and created nice "flares" at the entrance to the driveway where the grass had been worn down. Before, the driveway looked like the hodge-podge of previous layers (two to three) of asphalt it was with very poor drainage. They dug up and carried away tons of old asphalt and graded. Now it looks neat and "buttoned up" as they would say. Friends of ours saw the completed job and had the guys come over to their home to get a quote to do their driveway.

End result was not what was promised. It looks as if an intern did the work with faulty equipment, poor asphalt or both. Indentations, track marks, cracking at edges describes the resurfacing job. This was evident the next day. The cracks we’re supposed to be filled, but we’re only sealed with a slightly different sealer. All cracks were back within 2 months. The sealing job was not prepared properly and is peeling up revealing the unprepared, dirty surface it was applied to. This took 3 months to show. Multiple phone calls/messages to discuss went unanswered. Perhaps they had a bad day for machinery, materials and workmanship. However, it would be good to be completely satisfied before paying them or consider another company. It would be worth paying a bit more and getting a quality job.

“Exceptional!” This word summarizes the job that Thomas and Dustin’s Asphalt did from the very beginning to the very end of our driveway project. They were extremely professional, responsive and their work was of the highest quality. We had 2,100 feet (0.4 miles) of driveway installed that was ten feet wide. They sloped all of the ditches, graded and built up the driveway where necessary and then installed the new gravel driveway. Some other companies I had gotten bids from were going to just dump gravel, spread it, drive over it a few times and leave - at close to or even slightly higher cost than the exceptional work done by Thomas and Dustin’s Asphalt. Thomas and Dustin’s Asphalt brought in more rock and using a fifteen ton paver, compacted the gravel. They then used a 5000 pound roller to smooth all parts of the driveway. The project took the majority of four days and when the project was complete, they cleaned up everything, made sure there were no imperfections and then rolled out the entire driveway once again. I will not call anyone else in the future other than Thomas and Dustin’s Asphalt for paving or driveway maintenance needs. I highly recommend that you call Thomas and Dustin’s Asphalt also.

Thomas was consistently very professional. He always was available by phone, followed through, and provided clear and thorough information. Work was done well, and in a timely manner. We are very happy with the entire process from start to finish!

Great they did a great job

Perfect! This is a second generation company and they have worked on our street several times in the past 20 years. They are honest and have a very strong work ethic. Prices are lower than others when compared for an estimate. They honor their estimate and there are never any surprises on our bill. They show up on time and work until the job is complete. We just completed a project and we are lining up for another in the next few months!

We have hired them twice before and we are having them seal our driveway again. Always professional and always helpful and friendly. Excellent company and people!
